Updating Apps on the AppStore no longer working for me.
I have been using Swift Playground to build and submit my apps to the appstore for around three years now. Recently I uploaded two of my apps but now when I submit them for approval an error is issued… “Unable to Add for Review”… (see pic attached). I don’t understand it because Playground does not use Xcode as far as I am aware? Can someone advise me what I can do to resolve this? Is it something I have to wait to be fixed by an Apple update?

First-time Notarization for new Mac app stuck in "In Progress" for 3 days
Hello, I am a new macOS developer. I've been working on my first Mac application and I am trying to notarize it for distribution using notarytool. However, I've encountered a persistent issue where all my submissions are stuck in the "In Progress" status for several days. As this is my first time going through this process, I initially thought I might have done something wrong. However, I have verified my app with codesign --verify --verbose --deep and it returns "valid on disk" and "satisfies its Designated Requirement". I have also tried bumping the version from 0.1.0 to 0.1.1 and removing spaces from the file names, but the new submission is also stuck. After a user successfully completes a purchase and later requests a refund, how long does it typically take for the refund to be processed and take effect? How does Apple notify developers when a refund has been issued for an in-app purchase? Are there specific mechanisms or recommended approaches to reliably receive such notifications? In cases where users may abuse the refund system (e.g., frequent or malicious refund requests), is there any way for developers to prevent or intervene in the refund process?

Part XX of the ITA blocking submission
All my business documents are in an active state, including the Part XX of the Income Tax Act (necessary for Canadians), but app.store connect won't let me bundle subcriptions or in-store payements with my app or let me submit it b/c is says I'm not in compliance. It's incredibly frustrating b/c it must be an internal error. anyone else having this issue?

Strange Reviewer Behaviour & Feedback
Hi there! I'm trying to get my first app released. It's been 40 rejections for over 2 months. And there is a TV show which I am hoping to go on, but I can't without the app being released. Some of the issue has been my newbieness to Apple admittedly but things have become bizaare this week particularly. Each review is a drip feed of one or two problems rather than a full review of all problems in one go - surely this has a cost associated which Apple is bearing unnecesarily? In the last week, all rejection reasons could have been stated months ago. The problem is that it appears that a bot is testing the app not a human. For instance a reviewer flagged that a "Continue" button is not pressable. When in reality I added an intentional delay of 120ms for app stability, the reviewer didn't or couldn't try to tap the button "twice". Separate example: twice reviewers have brought up my sign in button has not worked (04/01 & 03/16) - and twice I have explained that non subscribers are not allowed to sign in - the reviewer even sent me the toast screenshot with a message telling the user they are not allowed to sign in - proving that its not a bug and it was intentional. I don't know if this is a bot or a language barrier problem? Another rejection reason (03/31) because the Community Forum was not clear in the screenshot I provided, but I also provided login details for the forum, which were ignored and the app rejected for that alone. One of my recent reviews was very shocking (03/31): """ Will user interact with other users in Community feature of your app? Please also provide steps to access the Chatbots feature. """ I don't understand why I should be asked if people will be interacting in my community forum - thats the entire point of a forum. 2.The chatbots are on the dashboard of my app, there is only one dashboard in my app, everything on my app is in one place, so the reviewer didn't even look for the feature. This is just a tiny selection of the type of comments I have been getting and I'm hoping I can release my app soon so I can go on this show, I have done 4 expedited review requests and nothing has progressed in a week.

CarPlay Function lost (26.4 and 26.5 DB)
with the latest updates on two of our iPhones run running 26.4 and the other 26.5 developed beta we have lost the ability to use CarPlay functionality via the Apple certified cable. Both phone showed the phone is connected and it is charging however functionality are greyed out on display in the 2022 Nissan rogue. Bluetooth still function properly as you could send and receive calls. However, functionality via the cable does not work. You cannot play music either. this feature also greyed. A trip to the Nissan dealer for more troubleshooting provided the following. A version 15 iPhone Connect via usb-c cable and functioned properly. As well as an android device. But again, hook up two iPhones one with version 26.5 DB and the other 26.4 both iPhone 14 would not work. After we left the dealership, I had a hunch that the issue with the latest update that both of these phones received over last week. I came home and connected an iPhone 6S which has a much older software version and it connected to CarPlay displayed maps and played music. Hopefully we can get another update soon that will resolve the issue via the lightning cable connection.

Xcode 26.4 Editor UI Changes creating problems
Objective C projects, if that matters, but several useful editing features were removed, but the biggest issues relate to Storyboards. Action buttons were moved all around. Not sure why it was changed, as the new layout is not intuitive at all. Loading of storyboards is amazingly slow. It's been getting worse for several revisions, but it is really bad now. Connecting from the storyboard to code is non functional with this revision. Connections have to be done from the code to the storyboard only, which means all the code has to be done before storyboard changes. This is much less efficient for coding. Really dislike 26.4 editing changes. You are making our jobs harder, not easier.

DJI Osmo Mobile 8 — DockKit motor control APIs not working (setAngularVelocity, setOrientation)
I'm developing an iOS app that uses Apple's DockKit framework to control gimbals. I've tested with the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro and the DJI Osmo Mobile 8. The Flow 2 Pro supports all DockKit motor control APIs — setAngularVelocity, setOrientation, setLimits — which lets my app do manual pan/tilt control via a virtual joystick. The Osmo Mobile 8 (model DS308, firmware 1.0.0) connects fine via DockKit and reports as docked, but every motor control API fails with "The device doesn't support the requested operation": setAngularVelocity — fails setOrientation(relative: true) — fails setLimits — fails The only thing that works is Apple's system tracking (setSystemTrackingEnabled(true)) for automatic face/body following. This means there's no way for third-party apps to do manual gimbal control (pan/tilt via joystick) on the Osmo 8 through DockKit — only automatic tracking works. Questions: Is anyone else seeing the same limitation with the Osmo 8 and DockKit? Has DJI confirmed whether manual motor control via DockKit is intentionally unsupported, or is this a firmware issue that might be addressed in an update? Does the DJI Mimo app use DockKit for its tracking, or does it use a proprietary Bluetooth protocol? Running iOS 26.4 on iPhone 15 Pro. Happy to share more technical details if helpful.

Escalation Request - no response over a week
Hello, I would like to request an escalation regarding my case request status(Case ID: 102853727157). My case was submitted on March 26 and contacted Apple Developer Support multiple times, and now it has been over a week still no response at all. It is showing "Your account cannot be created at this time" when I try to enroll, and also I have to migrate my personal account to a business account. Could you please escalate the case if possible and provide instructions how to proceed? If any additional information is required from my side, I am ready to provide it immediately. Update FreeType to support the new Chinese font format
Beginning with macOS Sonoma, Apple introduced a novel font format for rendering Chinese text. Apps that use third-party libraries for text rendering continued to function, primarily without disruption, owing to some workarounds provided by the operating system. FreeType, one of the most widely used cross-platform libraries for text rendering, now supports this new format. Apps that use this library, regardless of whether they encountered issues with Chinese text or not, should update to the latest FreeType source from their git repository (https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/freetype/freetype), as this support is not yet available in a tagged release. Updating ensures that apps operate optimally with Chinese text as well as any other language that uses this new format. Because this support calls into Apple APIs that Apple introduced in macOS 15.4, iOS 18.4, and aligned watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS releases, set the deployment target when building FreeType to match that of your own app. This ensures that the new API calls fail gracefully on older OS versions rather than causing your app to crash on systems where those APIs are not available.

In-App Purchase dialog not appearing during App Review but works on physical device
Hi everyone, My app has been rejected twice under Guideline 2.1(b) - App Completeness because the reviewer says the In-App Purchase does not trigger a purchase flow when tapping the purchase button. However, I have tested it on a physical iPhone (iOS 18.6.2) and the StoreKit purchase dialog appears and completes successfully. I have confirmed: Paid Apps Agreement is active In-App Purchase product (non-consumable) is configured correctly Sandbox test account works fine Purchase flow works on physical device with screen recording as proof The reviewer tested on iPad Air 11-inch (M3) with iPadOS 26.4. My app uses Flutter with the in_app_purchase package (v3.2.0). The purchase implementation: Calls InAppPurchase.instance.isAvailable() Queries product details with queryProductDetails() Calls buyNonConsumable() when user taps purchase button I found and fixed a potential null reference issue in the purchase completer that could cause the purchase to fail silently, but I'm not sure if this was the exact cause since I cannot reproduce the issue. Has anyone experienced a similar situation where IAP works on device but fails during App Review? Any suggestions on what might be different in the review environment? Thank you.

Why are the Apple App Reviewers making false claims in the review and what can I do to overcome this?!
My app has the phrase GPT in it as it is an app that runs private open source offline AI models (for free) on the iPhone. The app is called LiberaGPT. I have released my first version without issue and it was distributed to the Mainland China store. I made some small updates including accessibility features etc and released my next version. The reviewer is now accusing my app of using OpenAI's ChatGPT even though they can see the source code and my app is entirely offline using local AI inference rather than cloud inference. It is now a back and forth of me explaining over and over that my app is nothing to do with ChatGPT that GPT is a term used in the field of AI to describe certain types of LLM's and is nothing to do with 'ChatGPT' which is a brand. It is like saying you can't say 'AI' because of 'OpenAI' this makes no sense. I am literally at my witts end as I've poured so much time and energy into developing this app and it is now available on the app store but they won't let me update it and are essentially gaslighting me by saying that the term GPT cannot be used because it belongs to ChatGPT when it doesn't. There are numerous apps (including my previous version which ironically is live in the store that contain GPT in the app name without issue. GPT stands for 'Generative Pre-trained Transformer' and is a description of a technology not a brand. Is there anything I can do? No matter how many times I clarify, provide evidence, try to explain my position, they keep just copy and pasting the same response over and over that my app cannot be published in mainland China as OpenAI's ChatGPT is banned there and that my app is using OpenAI's ChatGPT in the software WHICH IT ISNT!!! THERE IS NO CLOUD DATA CONNECTION. Any help would be greatly appreciated, hopefully I don't pull all my hair out. Thanks, Stephen

App Store Connect Business page silently fails on submit + stuck on loading screen
I've been experiencing two critical issues with App Store Connect for several weeks and have contacted Developer Support multiple times by email with no response. Environment: macOS (Sequoia), tested on Chrome and Safari, multiple devices and networks. US-based organization account. ISSUE 1 — BUSINESS PAGE NOT FUNCTIONING (ongoing for weeks) The Business > Agreements/Tax/Banking page does not work correctly. After filling in all required information and clicking Submit, the page silently refreshes back to the unfilled state. No success message, no error message. This happens consistently across all browsers and devices. The browser console shows the following error on page load: [maison] No route found https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/business/atb/[entity-id] This suggests the SPA router fails to initialize the page, which would explain why submit has no effect. Both my Free App and Paid App agreements are stuck in pending status ("Waiting for Tax/Bank Info"), and I cannot complete the required identity verification through the UI. WHAT I'VE TRIED Multiple browsers (Chrome, Safari) Multiple devices and networks Cleared all cookies and cache Disabled all browser extensions Contacted Developer Support by email — no response after 7+ days IMPACT I cannot launch my paid app because the Paid App Agreement cannot be completed. Has anyone encountered the [maison] routing error on the Business page? Any workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a $100 Apple Developer credit for my apple account , but the Apple Developer access hasn’t been granted to my account, and it still says “pending” and “complete purchases.” In other words, I can’t use what I purchased and can’t access it. Is there anyone who can help me with this issue regarding the Apple Developer license?

I purchased a $100 Apple Developer credit for my qerezoutlook.com, but the Apple Developer access hasn’t been granted to my account, and it still says “pending” and “complete purchases.” In other words, I can’t use what I purchased and can’t access it. Is there anyone who can help me with this issue regarding the Apple Developer license?

It would be a wonderful idea for the Apple Developer Team to open up the developer center and host events like Keynote (in the theatre) and interfacing with Apple Engineers for those developers who want to be in Cupertino but did not win a ticket. Thank you.

Can use old linker in Xcode 26
Compile with xcode26 due to the need to maintain compatibility with older third-party libraries and other linker flags -ObjC -ld_classic -Wl,-U,ld64_classic_ordinal_for_proxy -Wl,-no_fixup_chains Will using these settings have any impact

DAC7 error blocking app submission - France
Same issue here from France. DAC7 compliance is active and marked as "Actif" in Business → Contracts, but I still get STATE_ERROR.DAC7_CANNOT_SUBMIT_MISSING_REGULATED_PERSONAL_SERVICE_APP_DECLARATION when trying to submit. App ID: 6761303816. Cannot submit Arab Facile for review. Please fix ASAP

But it doesn't show anywhere what the issues are. I cannot save the build (Save button is read and with an exclamation point), and I can't find any information as to what is wrong.

I have released my first version without issue and it was distributed to the Mainland China store. I made some small updates including accessibility features etc and released my next version. The reviewer is now accusing my app of using OpenAI's ChatGPT even though they can see the source code and my app is entirely offline using local AI inference rather than cloud inference. It is now a back and forth of me explaining over and over that my app is nothing to do with ChatGPT that GPT is a term used in the field of AI to describe certain types of LLM's and is nothing to do with 'ChatGPT' which is a brand. It is like saying you can't say 'AI' because of 'OpenAI' this makes no sense. I am literally at my witts end as I've poured so much time and energy into developing this app and it is now available on the app store but they won't let me update it and are essentially gaslighting me by saying that the term GPT cannot be used because it belongs to ChatGPT when it doesn't. There are numerous apps (including my previous version which ironically is live in the store that contain GPT in the app name without issue. GPT stands for 'Generative Pre-trained Transformer' and is a description of a technology not a brand. Is there anything I can do? No matter how many times I clarify, provide evidence, try to explain my position, they keep just copy and pasting the same response over and over that my app cannot be published in mainland China as OpenAI's ChatGPT is banned there and that my app is using OpenAI's ChatGPT in the software WHICH IT ISNT!!! THERE IS NO CLOUD DATA CONNECTION. Any help would be greatly appreciated, hopefully I don't pull all my hair out. Thanks, Stephen

App Store Connect Business page silently fails on submit + stuck on loading screen
I've been experiencing two critical issues with App Store Connect for several weeks and have contacted Developer Support multiple times by email with no response. Environment: macOS (Sequoia), tested on Chrome and Safari, multiple devices and networks. US-based organization account. ISSUE 1 — BUSINESS PAGE NOT FUNCTIONING (ongoing for weeks) The Business > Agreements/Tax/Banking page does not work correctly. After filling in all required information and clicking Submit, the page silently refreshes back to the unfilled state. No success message, no error message. This happens consistently across all browsers and devices. The browser console shows the following error on page load: [maison] No route found https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/business/atb/[entity-id] This suggests the SPA router fails to initialize the page, which would explain why submit has no effect. Both my Free App and Paid App agreements are stuck in pending status ("Waiting for Tax/Bank Info"), and I cannot complete the required identity verification through the UI. WHAT I'VE TRIED Multiple browsers (Chrome, Safari) Multiple devices and networks Cleared all cookies and cache Disabled all browser extensions Contacted Developer Support by email — no response after 7+ days IMPACT I cannot launch my paid app because the Paid App Agreement cannot be completed. Has anyone encountered the [maison] routing error on the Business page? Any workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

Apple Developer Program Subscription Error not fixed
I purchased a $100 Apple Developer credit for my apple account , but the Apple Developer access hasn’t been granted to my account, and it still says “pending” and “complete purchases.” In other words, I can’t use what I purchased and can’t access it. Is there anyone who can help me with this issue regarding the Apple Developer license?
