Missing Content from my app
Hi there! I am not a coder, but I built an app in ADALO just for in-house use in my company, PetroImaging. The app looked the way I wanted it to in the preview mode in ADALO, but when my app was approved and ready for download in the app store, a lot of content was missing. Many buttons that linked to screens were just gone - even though they were there in the preview and the buttons are formatted correctly in adalo. How can I get my content that I need back on my app so the employees can being using it?

Clarification Regarding App Denial on Simulator and Its Impact on App Review Process
I would like to inquire about a concern related to the app review process. Specifically, I would like to understand if forcefully denying an application's execution on the iOS Simulator (for instance, by implementing a check in the code that prevents the app from running in a simulated environment) could negatively impact or delay the app’s approval during the App Store review process. This measure is intended solely for security and integrity reasons during development and distribution. The app functions normally on real devices, and all other guidelines and requirements outlined by Apple are being strictly followed. Could you please confirm whether such a restriction on the Simulator is acceptable, and if there are any best practices or recommendations from Apple regarding this? Thank you for your support, and I look forward to your guidance.

Can I get notified when my watchOS app is terminated by the system (e.g. watchdog)?
Hi all, I’m developing a watchOS app and have seen cases where the app is terminated by the system — for example, due to CPU usage limits being exceeded (watchdog termination). Here’s a portion of one of the crash reports: Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGKILL) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000 Termination Reason: CAROUSEL 2343432205 <RBSTerminateContext| domain:10 code:0x8BADF00D explanation:[app<app_name>:898] Failed to terminate gracefully after 5.0s ProcessVisibility: Foreground ProcessState: Running WatchdogEvent: process-exit WatchdogVisibility: Foreground WatchdogCPUStatistics: ( "Elapsed total CPU time (seconds): 11.280 (user 9.800, system 1.480), 100% CPU", "Elapsed application CPU time (seconds): 5.162, 46% CPU" ) reportType:CrashLog maxTerminationResistance:Interactive> My questions: 1.) Is there any way to get notified (via Crashlytics, Xcode Organizer, or any other reporting mechanism) when this type of system-level termination happens — similar to how we’re notified of crashes? 2.)Is there any way for a watchOS app to receive runtime warnings from the system when it’s about to exceed CPU or memory limits — similar to UIApplication.didReceiveMemoryWarningNotification on iOS? Thanks in advance!

Cannot compile a simple C++ program on Mac OS
I'm trying to compile a simple hello world C++ program on my MacBook Pro. I have a M3 Pro (Nov 2023) running Sequoia 15.6. Host-Only Networking and Port Forwarding Support in macOS Virtualization Framework
I’ve developed a virtual machine manager application using the macOS Virtualization framework. The application currently supports both NAT and bridged networking configurations. I’m now looking to implement host-only networking, where the guest VM can communicate with the host but not with external networks. Is this networking mode supported by the Virtualization framework, and if so, what is the recommended approach to set it up? Additionally, I would like to implement port forwarding from the host to the guest (e.g., redirecting traffic from a specific port on the host to a port on the guest). Is there a way to configure port forwarding using the built-in APIs of the Virtualization framework, or would this require a custom networking solution? Any guidance or best practices for implementing these features within the constraints of the framework would be greatly appreciated.

Where's the replacement for Quartz Debug?
Hi, This can't be right. Is there really no replacement for Quartz Debug?!? As the sole developer on a project who has an Intel Mac and Quartz Debug, I am basically a god now. Everyone else has Apple Silicon and... I think they're randomly guessing at this point. Because I have entire teams sending me Intel Mac builds of stuff just so I can test it in QD. This is THE TOOL we used at NewTek to find performance issues, and THE TOOL I used for a dozen companies after that, to help them with similar issues. If there's no replacement, is there a reason there's no replacement? This feels like a massive step backwards, having to guess at problems like this. -Chilton

Can't download macOS 26 beta 8
Any time I attempt to download the latest beta of macOS 26, Safari stops the download at Zero KB, with no indication of why. I'm able to download OS 26 beta 8 for the other platforms absolutely fine, just not macOS. Pressing the little orange "reload" button, just results in another copy of the same zero KB file bundle on the file system. Can anyone help please?

Installer package is terminated after 600 seconds
Hi, I have an installer package that runs a postinstall script. The script can take a long time to complete, as one thing it does is copy about 10-30 GB of files using the rsync tool. We noticed on macOS 15 that the installer would fail almost exactly 10 minutes after it started. Looking in the /var/log/install.log, I see a message like this: 2025-07-01 12:54:32-07 Work-M1 package_script_service[21562]: PackageKit: Terminating PKInstallTask(pid:21573). Task has exceeded its 600 seconds of runtime. This does not happen in my testing on macOS 12 (Monterey) I have a few questions about this: A) Is this documented, and which OS introduced this? B) Is there a way a developer can extend or disable the time limit via a setting in the installer package. Or if not, is there a way end end user can disable it temporarily on their system? Thanks, Andrew

A few questions about allowed-os-versions and os-version in Distribution Definition files
In the archived documentation for Distribution Definition files (https://aninterestingwebsite.com/library/archive/documentation/DeveloperTools/Reference/DistributionDefinitionRef/Chapters/Distribution_XML_Ref.html), the allowed-os-versions and os-version element are partially documented. I have a few questions about these elements: allowed-os-versions The documentation states: Availability: Available in OS X v10.6.6 and later. Has this element always worked correctly in the past? I'm asking because it does not seem to work correctly on OS X v10.14 for the min attribute of a sub os-version element. os-version The documentation states: This element is designed for you to use a specific OS version number for the min attribute, and a major OS version number for the before attribute. The expectation is that you will know an exact minimum version but not an exact major version. This keeps you from having to guess the last minor revision before the next major revision, as you would have to do if the before attribute were inclusive. This is quite confusing because the documentation never explicitly says what a specific or major OS version number is. Is specific major.minor.patch or major.minor? What is major? major or major.minor? As the documentation was created at a time where the OS version scheme was: 10.minor.patch (and minor was actually the major) and we are now in an era where the OS version is major.minor.path, this is even more confusing. I would also be curious to know what the major version is officially supposed to be for macOS Tahoe in this case. 16 or 26? Generally speaking, this documentation is missing examples for a lot of the elements. Also why is there a tag for InstallerJS and not one for Installation in the Developer Forums?

Portal of Apple for tracking health(crashes/hangs)
We are looking for a platform or portal provided by Apple that allows us to track crashes, hangs, or other runtime issues faced by users while using our iOS/macOS application. This is similar to how we currently use Windows Error Reporting (WER) for our Windows application. Important note: Our application is not distributed via the Apple App Store — it is delivered through enterprise distribution or ad-hoc provisioning.

Is there a plan to finally document the PackageInfo file format?
Q. Is there a plan to finally document the PackageInfo file format used in .pkg flat package? The man page for pkgbuild is not really useful to understand the different options. It does not seem to make sense to have an official documentation for the Distribution Definition file but not for the PackageInfo file.
