How much does it cost to develop an app like Airbnb?
I’d like to develop an online marketplace and service provider iOS app similar to the Airbnb app for my startup company. I need standard functions like email registration, user profile, listings etc. And special functions like: location tracking, map, booking system, embedded messenger for the host and customers, internet surveillance camera and rating system, payment system.I have two questions:-How much does it cost?-Is it possible to develop it by myself and how long?(no programming background)

Sudden Termination of Apple Developer Account - Seeking Community Advice
Hello, everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I'm facing an unfortunate issue with my Apple Developer Program membership that was suddenly terminated. I received a generic email from Apple, stating that my membership was revoked, but no specific reason was provided for this action. I appealed the decision, offering all possible explanations and commitments to adhere to guidelines, only to be met with a reply stating that the decision is "final" and no subsequent appeals will be processed. Has anyone here faced a similar situation? Are there any steps that can be taken to understand the reason for termination when Apple doesn't disclose it? Is there a way to open a dialogue with Apple, even when they've stated that their decision is final? Would publicizing this issue through social media or blogs be advisable? This is a particularly trying time for us, as we are recovering from a recent earthquake and our app is our sole source of income. Any insights, advice, or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. We don't violate any apple's policies... any information would be welcome. Terrible treatment by Apple Dev support team
I paid for my developer account on the 13th of June 2024 (1 week ago). My ID was approved. However, I still don't have access to the account. When I go to check the status of it, it is asking me to pay again. I then tried to email the team, however only received useless, timewasting responses, such as "Please go to aninterestingwebsite.com/enroll to enroll for an apple dev account", which I already told them prompts me to pay again and verify my ID again. I then tried to call them, and they said they had to re-verify my ID and would call me back in 10 mins, but I never received a call back. I also couldn't call them again because it wouldn't let me request another call from them. I then emailed them, but still haven't received a response. The next day I tried to request another call from them, during their opening hours at Thursday 4pm AEST, (they are open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm AEST see https://aninterestingwebsite.com/support/worldwide-telephone-hours/) however it still says that "Phone support is currently unavailable". I tried to email them but now I am getting no responses at all. I tried to contact the apple support through the iMessage chat, however I was only put on call with a lady who was helpful, but couldn't even do anything as she was only generic support. She couldn't even schedule me a call or transfer me to the developer team, even though it was within their working and calling/support hours. I have tried to refund my developer account, but apparently that purchase is "illegible for a refund". This is the treatment I get from apple for paying $100 USD. An entire week of being left on blank. I don't know what to do. I paid 100 bucks for an account which I can't even use, and the support hasn't helped me for an entire week. My emails being left on blank, and I can't even call them. If anyone from apple or anyone that could help me sees this, please contact me ASAP at makrypodisc@ hotmail.com or reply to this thread. Hello everyone, on August 31st, all the apps in my personal developer account were suddenly expired and deleted, I have not received any response from Apple. My apps are in compliance with Apple's policies. I then uploaded a new version and sent it to the review team, but I received the following error "There was an error processing your request. Please try again later." I have contacted Apple via Email and Phone but no one cares about my problem. Has anyone had the same situation as me, I am really worried.

Displaying limited contacts list in UIKit
I have an app that was written in UIKit. It's too large, and it would be much too time consuming at this point to convert it to SwiftUI. I want to incorporate the new limited contacts into this app. The way it's currently written everything works fine except for showing the limited contacts in the contact picker. I have downloaded and gone though the Apple tutorial app but I'm having trouble thinking it through into UIKit. After a couple of hours I decided I need help. I understand I need to pull the contact IDs of the contacts that are in the limited contacts list. Not sure how to do that or how to get it to display in the picker. tvOS 18.3 Beta Bug
Hello :-) I‘m not entirely sure, if I‘m on the correct Place here. But I would like to report a Bug with tvOS 18.3 (latest beta) to the Apple Engineers! When maximizing an app, a clear color jump occurs. The home screen is more colorful than the open app! You can easily force this: open an app, e.g. the App Store back to the home screen open the app again now you can see a color jump of the GUI!!! The color becomes paler when the app is open. On the home screen it is more colorful again! The problem occurs with every app! So it is a global tvOS Bug! I can also send an example video if that's helpful! Best regards, Christian :-)

When will ONE_TIME_CHARGE notify type be available in a production environment?

The notification is already available in Google subscriptions. Our services often miss orders because of the absence of this notification. Can you give us an approximate time range?

The push notification icon is still displaying the old version
Hello guys, We have updated our app icon, and it is correctly reflected in our app build and assets. However, the push notification icon is still displaying the old version for some users. ✅ We have verified that: All icon assets in Assets.xcassets match the new icon. The app icon has been updated in Info.plist. The app has been resubmitted and approved on the App Store. ❌ However, some users still see the old notification icon, even after reinstalling the app. Restarting the device does not always resolve the issue. Could you provide insights into how iOS caches notification icons and how we can force a refresh for all users?

Payment completed with error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain Code=500
I would like to inquire about an error that has started occurring while debugging AppStore billing. (In sandbox environment) This error occurs after entering a password and completing the purchase process, and in this case, no completion alert appears. The error doesn't seem to depend on the purchase item, sandbox account, or device, and shows unstable behavior - sometimes succeeding and sometimes failing. Additionally, this error started occurring after special debugging where the network was disconnected during the purchase process. Moreover, the same error occurs in the TestFlight version of our already released normal (supposedly) version. I think this might be a sandbox-specific error where the system has temporarily become unstable, but what do you think? If so, how can I resolve this issue? I would appreciate your insights on the cause and appropriate response. Problems With Car Connectivity
The latest Beta update 18.5.4 has caused connectivity problems with my car (Skoda Enyaq) whereby there is no connection via Bluetooth or the cars internal WiFi. Also contacts will not download to the care which is very frustrating.

Urgent: Locked Account Holder – Need Help
Hello Apple Developer Community, I need some assistance with my account. I created a new developer account for a new project I am working on, and paid the apple developer fee. Everything was working fine for a few weeks, I was able to get my app on TestFlight and invite testers to it, as well as push updates and get feedback. The testers were family/business partners. As of a few days ago, I was locked out of my account. I first tried resetting my password, and was then met with an email claiming my account was locked with no additional information. I am trying to understand how I can either unlock my account, or transfer my existing app to a new account, so that I do not have to bother my users with downloading a new app. Additionally, I would like some help in understanding how I can safeguard myself from this issue in the future, especially given this would not be fun if my app were published. Could anyone please assist me, provide me with any advice, or point me to a place where I could get support? I spent 25 minutes on the phone with apple support, and was treated excellently as I've come to expect of Apple, but unfortunately was not given any help as the support did not have additional information. I'm hoping I'm asking in the right place, and can get some help! Thanks in advance, Fritz

I encountered some issues while developing a Vision Pro program using Unity. After binding an ARAnchor to a game object, I overlapped the virtual game object with a real-world cup. However, when I moved around with the Vision Pro on, the virtual game object shifted, causing the real-world cup and the virtual object to no longer coincide. Is there a way to solve this?

Alternate App Icon Change Does Not Reflect in Notification Center on iOS 18.1+
When changing the app's alternate icon using UIApplication.setAlternateIconName(_:completionHandler:), the icon is updated correctly on the Home Screen and App Switcher. However, in Notification Center, the old app icon is still shown for notifications, even after the change has completed. Rebooting or change the device's language causes the correct icon to appear. This issue only occurs on iOS 18.1 and later. In iOS 18.0 and earlier, Notification Center correctly reflects the updated icon. Could you provide insights into how iOS caches notification icons and how we can force a refresh for all users?

Developer Enrollment - Bug.
Hi everyone, We're hoping someone here can help us out. We've run into a consistent issue when trying to enroll a new Apple Developer account as an organisation using our DUNS number. Here's what we've experienced: Individual enrollment through the Developer app works perfectly with a new Apple ID. However, when using an existing Apple ID and selecting organization enrollment, the process gets stuck: The payment button is greyed out in the Developer app. We're then locked out of enrolling through the app entirely. 4. When trying to complete the enrollment via the Developer website, there’s no valid payment method available (e.g., VISA option missing CVV field), and any attempts to proceed just loop without success. We're essentially stuck in a limbo state where we can’t proceed. We’ve gone through all the support channels: The automated assistant (Gaby) is unable to resolve the issue or understand the full context. Live chat support for both individual and business accounts told us they can’t assist and referred us back to the developer support system—which leads us back to square one. All members of our team were able to enroll individually without issue, but organisation enrollment consistently failed. Business support and Commercial support (spoken to supervisors) are unable to assist. They really tried and made an effort. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a way to get in touch with a real person at Apple who can actually resolve this? What are our next steps? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Regarding the Issue with URL Scheme Not Working。 Hello, our app on the App Store has the following CFBundleURLTypes configuration: We've discovered that the qmkege:// URL scheme is failing to open the app. Steps to Reproduce: 1、We downloaded the installation package from the App Store 2、Entered qmkege:// in Safari, but it fails to launch our app。 The system logs show the following: Key Observation: This issue is not consistently reproducible. In most cases, when we install the app directly from the App Store (without VPN), it works fine. However, the problem occurs when downloading the app through the App Store while connected via VPN. Looking forward to your feedback.

Read-only file system (Mac OS Extended)
After updating to another beta of High Sierra, my internal hard drive became read-only somehow. I have a user home directory on that and many things have stopped working. I tried re-installing the OS, but it didn't help. I'm out of options by now. Anyone has ideas how can I fix that?

tvOS 18.3 Beta Bug
Hello :-) I‘m not entirely sure, if I‘m on the correct Place here. But I would like to report a Bug with tvOS 18.3 (latest beta) to the Apple Engineers! When maximizing an app, a clear color jump occurs. The home screen is more colorful than the open app! You can easily force this: open an app, e.g. the App Store back to the home screen open the app again now you can see a color jump of the GUI!!! The color becomes paler when the app is open. On the home screen it is more colorful again! The problem occurs with every app! So it is a global tvOS Bug! I can also send an example video if that's helpful! Best regards, Christian :-)

When will ONE_TIME_CHARGE notify type be available in a production environment?

The notification is already available in Google subscriptions. Our services often miss orders because of the absence of this notification. Can you give us an approximate time range?

The push notification icon is still displaying the old version
Hello guys, We have updated our app icon, and it is correctly reflected in our app build and assets. However, the push notification icon is still displaying the old version for some users. ✅ We have verified that: All icon assets in Assets.xcassets match the new icon. The app icon has been updated in Info.plist. The app has been resubmitted and approved on the App Store. ❌ However, some users still see the old notification icon, even after reinstalling the app. Restarting the device does not always resolve the issue. Could you provide insights into how iOS caches notification icons and how we can force a refresh for all users?

Payment completed with error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain Code=500
I would like to inquire about an error that has started occurring while debugging AppStore billing. (In sandbox environment) This error occurs after entering a password and completing the purchase process, and in this case, no completion alert appears. The error doesn't seem to depend on the purchase item, sandbox account, or device, and shows unstable behavior - sometimes succeeding and sometimes failing. Additionally, this error started occurring after special debugging where the network was disconnected during the purchase process. Moreover, the same error occurs in the TestFlight version of our already released normal (supposedly) version. I think this might be a sandbox-specific error where the system has temporarily become unstable, but what do you think? If so, how can I resolve this issue? I would appreciate your insights on the cause and appropriate response. Problems With Car Connectivity
The latest Beta update 18.5.4 has caused connectivity problems with my car (Skoda Enyaq) whereby there is no connection via Bluetooth or the cars internal WiFi. Also contacts will not download to the care which is very frustrating.

Urgent: Locked Account Holder – Need Help
Hello Apple Developer Community, I need some assistance with my account. I created a new developer account for a new project I am working on, and paid the apple developer fee. Everything was working fine for a few weeks, I was able to get my app on TestFlight and invite testers to it, as well as push updates and get feedback. The testers were family/business partners. As of a few days ago, I was locked out of my account. I first tried resetting my password, and was then met with an email claiming my account was locked with no additional information. I am trying to understand how I can either unlock my account, or transfer my existing app to a new account, so that I do not have to bother my users with downloading a new app. Additionally, I would like some help in understanding how I can safeguard myself from this issue in the future, especially given this would not be fun if my app were published. Could anyone please assist me, provide me with any advice, or point me to a place where I could get support? I spent 25 minutes on the phone with apple support, and was treated excellently as I've come to expect of Apple, but unfortunately was not given any help as the support did not have additional information. I encountered some issues while developing a Vision Pro program using Unity. After binding an ARAnchor to a game object, I overlapped the virtual game object with a real-world cup. However, when I moved around with the Vision Pro on, the virtual game object shifted, causing the real-world cup and the virtual object to no longer coincide. Is there a way to solve this?

Alternate App Icon Change Does Not Reflect in Notification Center on iOS 18.1+
When changing the app's alternate icon using UIApplication.setAlternateIconName(_:completionHandler:), the icon is updated correctly on the Home Screen and App Switcher. However, in Notification Center, the old app icon is still shown for notifications, even after the change has completed. Rebooting or change the device's language causes the correct icon to appear. This issue only occurs on iOS 18.1 and later. In iOS 18.0 and earlier, Notification Center correctly reflects the updated icon. Could you provide insights into how iOS caches notification icons and how we can force a refresh for all users?

Developer Enrollment - Bug.
Hi everyone, We're hoping someone here can help us out. We've run into a consistent issue when trying to enroll a new Apple Developer account as an organisation using our DUNS number. Here's what we've experienced: Individual enrollment through the Developer app works perfectly with a new Apple ID. However, when using an existing Apple ID and selecting organization enrollment, the process gets stuck: The payment button is greyed out in the Developer app. We're then locked out of enrolling through the app entirely. 4. When trying to complete the enrollment via the Developer website, there’s no valid payment method available (e.g., VISA option missing CVV field), and any attempts to proceed just loop without success. We're essentially stuck in a limbo state where we can’t proceed. We’ve gone through all the support channels: The automated assistant (Gaby) is unable to resolve the issue or understand the full context. Live chat support for both individual and business accounts told us they can’t assist and referred us back to the developer support system—which leads us back to square one. All members of our team were able to enroll individually without issue, but organisation enrollment consistently failed. Business support and Commercial support (spoken to supervisors) are unable to assist. They really tried and made an effort. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a way to get in touch with a real person at Apple who can actually resolve this? What are our next steps? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Regarding the Issue with URL Scheme Not Working。 Hello, our app on the App Store has the following CFBundleURLTypes configuration: We've discovered that the qmkege:// URL scheme is failing to open the app. Steps to Reproduce: 1、We downloaded the installation package from the App Store 2、Entered qmkege:// in Safari, but it fails to launch our app。 The system logs show the following: Key Observation: This issue is not consistently reproducible. In most cases, when we install the app directly from the App Store (without VPN), it works fine. However, the problem occurs when downloading the app through the App Store while connected via VPN.
