virtual meeting extension
Hello, I have implemented my virtual meeting extension and my application shows no issues in the calendar application, with a join button displayed. Everything is great!. However, with the help of EKEventEditViewController and EKEvent instances, when creating an event from the main target of the application using EventKitUI, the event will not be displayed as a virtual meeting. I have seen that other applications like Zoom have already implemented this, and I find it difficult to find relevant documentation on how to link events created by the program to virtual meetings. How do I set an event as a meeting when I want to add it to the main program? In addition, the function in the VirtualConferenceProvider.swift file of the extension program fetchVirtualConference(identifier: EKVirtualConferenceRoomTypeIdentifier, completionHandler: @escaping (EKVirtualConferenceDescriptor?, (any Error)? )->Void) How are the parameters in this function obtained? It's impossible for every conference related link to be the same

ACME Managed Device Attestation - Saving certificate to Kerychain
Hello! I’m testing certificate issuance using a locally running Smallstep step-ca ACME server with the device-attest-01 challenge. I’ve created a custom MDM profile for this purpose. When I install the profile, the certificate is issued successfully, but it is not saved to the Keychain as stated in the documentation. I can only see the certificate via mdmclient or in the Wi-Fi settings dropdown menu. Is this expected behavior, or are there additional settings that need to be included in the MDM profile?

Supporting development of ACME - Freshness code question
It seems like there are some "mixed messages" out there about what should be in OID 1.2.840.113635.100.8.11.1 in the attestation cert. Is it just a SHA256 hash of the nonce issued by the ACME server? The MDM profile yaml says: "In the attestation certificate the value of the freshness code OID matches the nonce specified by the ACME server via the ACME protocol." I'm hoping the difficulty we're seeing is down to the certificate being created once (and not again for 7 days). Otherwise, we're not decoding/understanding the OID's contents properly. Thanks.

Device enrollment to ABM failing with timeout during setup
Hello, I’m facing an issue while trying to add iOS devices to Apple Business Manager (ABM) using Apple Configurator during enrollment. When going through the setup process, the device fails to complete enrollment and times out. I’ve tried it multiple times. The device does appear in ABM during the process and I am able to assign it to different MDM servers but since the setup times out and fails, the device is automatically released. I have tried this with multiple iOS devices and it times out on every single one of them. Steps attempted: Factory reset and re-enrollment of the device Ensured network connectivity is stable and tested on multiple Wi-Fi networks Tried the following process using Apple Configurator on Mac (wired): Created a Wi-Fi profile in Configurator Connected the iPhone via cable and used Prepare (manual configuration) Used the “MDM server” placeholder and trusted anchors (as recommended) Linked the device to the ABM organization Skipped Setup Assistant steps Attached the Wi-Fi profile, then prepared and wiped the device Verified that the device should appear in ABM Attempted to assign the device to my MDM in ABM Despite these checks, the enrollment process times out. I’m attaching a screenshot of the error for reference. Could someone advise what might be causing this timeout or how I can further troubleshoot this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Issuing Estimates, Invoices, and Receipts for Apps (Corporate Use)
Hello, I would like to ask a question regarding documentation related to app sales. Currently, I’m researching the sales process for an app and realized that I lack sufficient understanding when it comes to creating official documents such as estimates, invoices, and receipts — especially when dealing with corporate clients. In our company’s case, we can issue documents based on the net revenue (after platform fees are deducted). However, when issuing these documents to a client, would it be more appropriate to include a breakdown showing both the platform fee and the app usage fee? I would greatly appreciate any insights or examples of how others have handled similar situations. Thank you in advance.

Problems deploying enterprise app (ASDErrorDomain error 854)
We are experiencing a lot of problems deploying an enterprise app for in-house use since late January. All our iPads are managed by an MDM solution. It can take 10 or more attempts to successfully deploy the app. The deployment usually fails with the message "ASDErrorDomain error 854" among other messages. The company providing the MDM solution has no idea what causes this message or what it means. I suspect the error message is not generated by the MDM solutiion but rather gets passed through from iOS. After many attempts the installation may succeed suddenly, though, and the apps works as expected, but this may take weeks. I have not done any changes to my development system. 'I am running XCode 15.3 with SDK version 17.4, the iPads are on iOS 18.3

Incorrect MDM Command Structure in DeclarativeManagement Example
I'm writing to point out a potential structural error in an example of the DeclarativeManagement command. This could cause significant confusion for developers implementing the MDM protocol. The standard structure for a server-to-device MDM command requires CommandUUID and the Command dictionary to be siblings under the top-level dictionary. The CommandUUID serves as a top-level identifier for the entire command envelope. This is the correct, expected structure: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Command</key> <dict> <key>Command</key> <dict> <key>RequestType</key> <string>DeclarativeManagement</string> </dict> </dict> <key>CommandUUID</key> <string>0001_DeclarativeManagement</string> </dict> </plist> This is an example of the incorrect structure I've seen: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Command</key> <dict> <key>CommandUUID</key> <string>0001_DeclarativeManagement</string> <key>Command</key> <dict> <key>RequestType</key> <string>DeclarativeManagement</string> </dict> </dict> </dict> </plist>

macOS 12.6 LightsOutManagement; address already in use
Hello together, I'm currently trying to implement a simple way to use the new LOM commands for our new mac infrastructure. My MDM sollution is a custom instance of MicroMDM. MDM profiles are working fine, but when I send a https://aninterestingwebsite.com/documentation/devicemanagement/lom_device_request_command with any command (Reset, PowerON, PowerOFF), then it doesn't reset/restart/start the target Mac. Host X has a device profile and host Y a controller profile. Host/Mac Y = fe80::YYYY:YYYY:YYYY:8608 Host/Mac X = fe80::XX:XXXX:XXXX:cfab Now, if I send a LOM request for Mac Y to reset Mac X, I get the error "Address already in use" on Mac X (logs via log stream) log stream (private logs) And wireshark on Mac X shows there is traffic, but MacX does not respond to anything, not even tcp syn packages. This error is really weird, because there are no special ports running on that mac and I don't know what Port lightsoutmanagementd tries to listen to. lsof | grep LISTEN | grep -i ipv6 launchd 1 root 7u IPv6 0x457f571ac3303fd7 0t0 TCP *:ssh (LISTEN) launchd 1 root 11u IPv6 0x457f571ac33015d7 0t0 TCP *:rfb (LISTEN) launchd 1 root 27u IPv6 0x457f571ac3303fd7 0t0 TCP *:ssh (LISTEN) lightsout 112 root 4u IPv6 0x457f571ac3302ad7 0t0 TCP *:55555 (LISTEN) kdc 143 root 5u IPv6 0x457f571ac33023d7 0t0 TCP *:kerberos (LISTEN) screensha 403 root fp.u IPv6 0x457f571ac33015d7 0t0 TCP *:rfb (LISTEN) (fileport=0x2103) screensha 403 root 3u IPv6 0x457f571ac33015d7 0t0 TCP *:rfb (LISTEN) ARDAgent 535 devops 9u IPv6 0x457f571ac33031d7 0t0 TCP *:net-assistant (LISTEN) Did anyone have the same problem, or maybe can hint me in the right direction? Stop an in-house app by revoking it's certificate?
I'm hoping to make certain in-house apps fail to launch by revoking the in-house certificate that they were built on. This is by way of encouraging users of these apps to download updates built on a new certificate. How long will it take app built on a now-revoked certificate to no longer launch? Also, what is Apple's process for checking the validity of an in-house certificate in an app built on that certificate, running on iOS devices? I understand that provisioning profiles have built-in expiration dates, but will an in-house app that's built on a valid provisioning profile keep running even on a revoked certificate if the revocation happened before the certificate's own expiration date? iOS 26 beta: Enterprise-distributed apps fail to launch (NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=85) while Xcode-installed builds run
Environment Devices: e.g., iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 16 (multiple units) OS: iOS 26 beta 2 and beta 4 (23A5297m) Distribution: Apple Enterprise Program (In-House), deployed via MDM InstallApplication Tooling: Xcode (latest available for iOS 26 betas) Summary Apps signed for Enterprise (In-House) distribution install successfully on iOS 26 betas via MDM, but terminate immediately on launch. The same builds run if installed from Xcode on the same devices. This is a regression from pre-iOS 26 versions where Enterprise builds installed via MDM launched normally. Steps to Reproduce Archive an iOS app and export for Enterprise (In-House) distribution. Deploy the .ipa via MDM using InstallApplication to a device on iOS 26 beta (e.g., 23A5297m). Tap the app icon to launch. Actual Result The app quits instantly on launch. System logs show launchd/runningboard errors, including NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=85 (“Bad executable (or shared library)”): runningboardd(RunningBoard)[34]: Process start failed with Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=85 "Bad executable (or shared library)" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Launchd job spawn failed} runningboardd(RunningBoard)[34]: Launch failed with Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=85 "Bad executable (or shared library)" SpringBoard(FrontBoard)[35]: Bootstrapping failed ... NSUnderlyingError = { NSLocalizedDescription = Launchd job spawn failed; } Expected Result Enterprise-signed builds installed via MDM should launch as they did on iOS 25.x and earlier. Regression? Works on iOS versions prior to 26. Works on iOS 26 betas when installed from Xcode (developer-signed run). Fails only for Enterprise (In-House) builds delivered via MDM. Additional Notes / Possibly Related We also reproduced a similar failure mode with a minimal Safari Web Extension project: it installs and appears under Settings → Safari → Extensions, but enabling it and opening Safari produces: “ is no longer available.” Building a fresh project with a new bundle ID shows the same behavior on iOS 26 beta (23A5297m). Logs contain: Error occurred during transaction: The provided identifier "" is invalid. Running from Xcode (debug build) works. Workarounds None identified for Enterprise/MDM distribution. Only Xcode-installed builds run. Impact Blocks Enterprise deployment to our fleet on iOS 26 betas. Feedback / Attachments Included: sysdiagnose from an affected device, minimal Xcode project demonstrating the issue, Enterprise-exported app, and reproduction notes. Happy to share additional logs or perform targeted tests if needed. Request Can Apple confirm whether this is a known regression vs. a policy/validation change in iOS 26 for Enterprise/MDM installs? Any guidance on a short-term mitigation or build/signing change we can apply would be appreciated.

Unable to get inbound and outbound byte count in Content Filter report.
Hello, I am building a Content Filter app for iOS and would like to get access to some information about network connections that are happening on the device. I managed to have the handle(_ report: NEFilterReport) method of my NEFilterControlProvider called, but the bytesOutboundCount and bytesInboundCount properties of the report are always 0. How can I have the real byte count of the connection ?

Does MDM ClearPasscode work during passcode lockout (“Try again in X minutes” / Security Lockout)?
Hi, I’m testing the ClearPasscode MDM command: https://aninterestingwebsite.com/documentation/devicemanagement/clear-passcode-command Question: If a user enters the passcode incorrectly multiple times and the device becomes temporarily locked (e.g., “Try again in X minutes”) or reaches “Security Lockout”, can ClearPasscode still be executed successfully while the device is in that state? {'ErrorCode': 5013, 35708 'ErrorDomain': 'MCPasscodeErrorDomain', 35709 'LocalizedDescription': '\xe3\x81\x93...x89', 35710 'USEnglishDescription': 'The passcode cannot be cleared (-1)'} If it depends on conditions (e.g., supervised vs. user enrollment, availability of UnlockToken, network/check-in state), could you clarify which conditions are required? Thank you.

iOS 18.5 MDM Screen Lock
Hello, I am running into a bit of an issue with the Screen Timeout/Screen Lock setting and would like some clarification on. First for a bit of context, I am enrolling personal iOS devices 18.0+ into the company MDM (Intune) with Account Driven User Enrollment. We are trying to set a screen timeout of 5 minutes and immediately after it asks for the passcode on the device, though this setting is not being applied and the device timeout setting can be set as "Never" on the user's end. This is a big security risk for the company I work for and and the issue with being HIPAA compliant. According to the Microsoft Intune Support, "In iOS 18, when using Account-Driven User Enrollment for BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) scenarios, the screen lock timeout setting is indeed marked as “Not Applicable”. This is because Apple’s privacy-preserving model for personal devices restricts administrative control over system-level settings like screen lock or idle timeout." I am needing clarification on the item mentioned from Microsoft Intune Support and if this setting is no longer able to be applied from the MDM with devices enrolled with Account Driven User Enrollment?

When does macOS Device Actually Send BootStrapToken to MDM
Hi Community, The Leverage macOS has with Bootstrap token is immense using the same for Software Updates, Erase Device and new Local Account Creation in System Settings While I refer From IT Deployment Guide Which States the below For a Mac with macOS 10.15.4 or later, when a secure token-enabled user logs in for the first time, macOS generates a bootstrap token and escrows it to a device management service. I even tested out the Statement using Automated Device Enrollment Workflow ( With AutoAdmin Account Only, With Both AutoAdmin Account , Primary Account ) and it Granted BootStrap Token Immediately upon login How ever with User-Initiated Enrollments it differs like below Sometimes upon installation of MDM Profile in macOS Immediately the BootstrapToken is sent to MDM Sometimes the BootStrapToken is not immediately sent, so I need to logout , login with the Secure Token enabled user for macOS to escrow BootStrapToken to MDM Sometimes Even when I followed the pointer as in 2) like logout / login from a SecureToken Enabled user the BootStrapToken is not escrowed to MDM , Which Affects the OSUpdates, Erasing Capabilities to be used precisely with MDM Protocol Can someone Please Help with the Flow for BootStrapToken Generation / issuance to MDM incase for User-Initiated Enrollment

Supporting development of ACME - Freshness code question
It seems like there are some "mixed messages" out there about what should be in OID 1.2.840.113635.100.8.11.1 in the attestation cert. Is it just a SHA256 hash of the nonce issued by the ACME server? Is iPadOS 18.6.1 available to update?
How can we receive the iPadOS 18.6.1 update on an iPad? We have configured the MDM update days policy to receive recent, but not the latest, iPadOS updates; however, we are only able to get versions 18.6.2 and 18.6. Is the availability of iPadOS updates dependent on the iPad's region? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
