App crashes on launch due to missing Swift Concurrency symbol
I'm encountering a crash on app launch. The crash is observed in iOS version 17.6 but not in iOS version 18.5. The only new notable thing I added to this app version was migrate to store kit 2. Unable to get product from storekit in productRequest method.
We’re encountering a problem with StoreKit in the sandbox environment. During an SKProductsRequest, some or all of the product identifiers provided are being returned in the invalidProductIdentifiers array of the SKProductsResponse, despite being valid and already approved. This behavior began occurring since last 2 days only and appears to be intermittent—in some cases, a product identifier that initially fails will succeed after one or two retries, without any changes on our end. What we've verified: All product identifiers are correctly configured and approved in App Store Connect. No recent changes have been made to our product configuration. The same product identifiers have previously worked without issue. We would appreciate any assistance in identifying the root cause of this behavior. Please also let us know if there is a known issue currently affecting StoreKit sandbox services. Thank you for your support.

SKErrorDomain Code 2 Problem
We are facing a serious issues with in app purchases in our app. We offer 3 IAP: auto-renewable subscription 1W, auto-renewable subscription 1Y, non-consumable one-time purchase (LifeTime access) In our case 90-95% of transactions fail and we mostly get SKError code=2 . Sometime purchase fails several times for the same user so it’s very hard to believe that user intentionally cancels transaction for the same product 4 or even 5 times in a row. It happens regardless iOS version, device model, our app version. We've checked multiple threads with the same issue but coudn't find any solution. We do not offer any promotions, product identifiers are valid... Some users are able to make a purchases without any issues.

User charged, but .userCancelled returned
Hello, Is anyone else seeing Purchase.PurchaseResult.UserCancelled, despite a successful transaction? I had a user notify me today that he: Attempted a purchase Entered payment credentials Was asked to opt in to email subscription notifications Opted In Was shown my app's "User Canceled Purchase" UI Attempted to repurchase Was alerted that he was "Already Subscribed" I have adjusted my code to check Transaction.currentEntitlements on receiving a .userCancelled result, to avoid this in the future. Is this logically sound? ExternalPurchase.presentNoticeSheet returns only cancelled in App Store version
Hello, Our app has been released in Korea with an external payment feature. The function that must display the required modal for external payments is as follows: let result = try await ExternalPurchase.presentNoticeSheet() guard result != .cancelled else { return } However, while testing in the development environment, the API returns a result of continuedWithExternalPurchaseToken(token: String), but in the version distributed through the App Store, it returns cancelled. We would like to know how we can receive the continuedWithExternalPurchaseToken result in the App Store version. Thank you for your guidance. If anyone here has experienced a similar issue or found a solution, I would greatly appreciate your insights as well.

How do you get user consent for ConsumptionRequest?

If not, respond by calling this API and setting the customerConsented value to false in the ConsumptionRequest; don't send any other information. Since our server would be receiving CONSUMPTION_REQUEST server notifications and will be the one calling the Consumption API, how do we know if the user has provided consent? That info doesn't seem to be in the server notification or anywhere else.

Cannot repurchase subscription SKU — StoreKit keeps returning old expired transaction
Some users cannot repurchase a subscription SKU after it has expired. Flow: User previously subscribed. User canceled and the subscription fully expired. After weeks, user reinstalls the app and taps the same SKU. StoreKit does not create a new purchase transaction. Instead, StoreKit always returns the old expired transaction in updatedTransactions. Therefore, the user is permanently unable to purchase the SKU again. We have already tried: Adding payment observer at app launch Calling finishTransaction for all transactions Clearing queue at startup SKReceiptRefreshRequest Server-side verifyReceipt Ensuring subscription is truly expired (not in grace/retry) Not calling restoreCompletedTransactions None of these resolved the issue. StoreKit still only sends the old transaction and never generates a new one. Expected behavior: A new purchase transaction should be created when user taps the expired subscription SKU. When subscribing to the change notification in the App Store, it was found that the type of notification received by the server did not match the expected problem.
Description of the Issue We are encountering issues with App Store Server Notifications, where the notification type received does not align with our expectations for subscription changes. Specifically, we receive DID_RENEW notifications in scenarios involving downgrades or intra-tier upgrades, which disrupts our backend subscription management logic and may lead to incorrect user subscription states and billing errors. Below are two reproducible scenarios with associated transaction data. Scenario 1: Downgrade from Premium Yearly (with 7-Day Trial) to Standard Yearly Steps to Reproduce: A user purchases the Premium Yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial (initial transaction ID: 700002116066502). On the day before the trial ends, the user downgrades to the Standard Yearly subscription via the App Store’s subscription management interface. Expected Behavior: We expect to receive a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS or a similar downgrade notification (e.g., DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_PREF) to indicate the subscription plan has been downgraded, enabling immediate updates to the user’s subscription status. Actual Behavior: Upon downgrade, our server receives a DID_RENEW notification instead of a downgrade-specific notification. This causes our system to incorrectly interpret the action as a renewal of the Premium subscription rather than a downgrade to Standard, with no subsequent downgrade confirmation received. Hello I am trying to add payments on my app. I have added all products I need in subscriptions. I also tried by using storekit but from my understanding testing with storekit is nothing to rely on. My app works on Android (with the same product IDs same unction call) iOS is not why is that?

Advanced Commerce API returns 404 not found
We got access into Advanced Commerce API and trying out the server APIs. I was trying out the Migrate a Subscription to Advanced Commerce API but the API was just simply returning not found to me with a generic error code 4040000 (this is undocumented in the API doc). Proper way to set up Sandbox iOS for Purchase Testing
I cannot explain how frustrating this is. Not that I want to compare to Android, but in 3 years of QA Testing my app, Android works like a dream, while iOS fights with me EVERY SINGLE STEP OF THE WAY. Hopefully someone here can tell me what I am missing/doing wrong/which god I must appease to get this to work. I have 3 REAL iPhones of varying iOS versions and ages. But they are all proper actual iPhones. We use google accounts at this company, so my primary email is a gmail one. I have created MANY sandbox accounts inside App Store Connect. Currently I have 2, and 2 of my devices (both 14's one of which is a Pro) have my Primary account as the main account for the device. But they both also have a Sandbox account which is simply my main email with a +sandbox in it to make it a new unique email. Here is the problem, nothing works as expected ever. I can install my Staging and Production apps from TestFlight, then I can make a subscription purchase as a customer would and I SHOULD see that subscription in my Sandbox right? That's the point of a Sandbox and TestFlight is it not? But in ALL cases whenever I try to view my 'Sandbox Subscriptions' it tells me I don't have any. Now, sometimes, very occasionally, I get a specific error message inside my app when attempting to make a purchase, this one states something like 'You already have a subscription, please restore it instead...' which makes no sense. Since it clearly states that I have none. But this message has a 'Manage' button to manage my subscriptions, tapping it lads me to a windows which amazing DOES have a subscription in it. But attempting to 'Cancel' it does nothing, just refreshes the screen to be the same. Now I think that this subscription is actually attached to the primary account on the device and NOT the sandbox account. So when this happens I cannot subscribe, I cannot restore, and I cannot manually alter the subscription within iOS. So I am stuck at this point. What am I doing wrong, am I setting this all up in the wrong order? Do I need to install some kind of profile or security cert, do I need to give a pint of blood to Imhotep? What am I missing. I even once sat on the phone for 90 minutes with an Apple Support Rep who took me through it step by step, same result. Also I just noticed that inside 'App Store Connect' when you look at the list of 'Sandbox' accounts there is a column for 'Last Purchase' which is entirely blank, apparently after a year of use I have NEVER purchased on the Sandbox, which is another reason I think my subs are going to the main email, not the sandbox one. I tried using the sandbox email as the main account for the whole device, I can't recall the result but it was worse and didn't work at all. A true idiots guide to making this work for me. Testing this on Android always takes 5 mins. iPhone, I'm lucky if I am done in half a day. Please help and thanks for reading!

Updating this code to comply with TN3138: Handling App Store receipt signing certificate changes
My Mac app fails to open for some users with the error: "ABC.app does not support the latest receipt validation requirements." I assume this is due to the update of the App Store receipt signing intermediate certificate with one that uses the SHA-256 algorithm. I cannot reproduce this myself and I have trouble figuring out how to address this issue. Below is the code that decrypts the receipt and verifies its signature. In-App Purchase Failing
hello, I have an app with In-App purchase set up, it works fine in TestFlight on an iOS device but the download from the App Store gives me a transaction failed message. I tried to replicate in the simulator but from what I've read is that you can't do in-app purchase testing in the simulator. Perhaps I'm wrong here but I've tried multiple sandbox accounts, etc.. and still get an unusual "...password can't be reused..." error (pasted below) in the debug description. I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this scenario and if so how did you go about researching/identifying the issue and/or resolving it. storefront.countryCode is fixed to USA in iOS 26 beta
Whether using Storefront.current?.countryCode or SKPaymentQueue.default().storefront?.countryCode, both are returning "USA" only. (It used to return the correct country code before the update.) In the sandbox environment, the country code is returned correctly, but in the TestFlight environment, it always returns "USA". There's no mention of this behavior in the beta release notes, so I'm posting it here for visibility.

Sandbox Url Not Receiving App Store Server Notifications
I have an Expo React Native application and I am using react-native-iap library. I have setup the URL for sandbox and production url to receive notifications when a something happens regarding subscriptions. I am not able to receive those notifications when I simulate the purchase on the Simulator using Xcode. StoreKit2.Transaction.updates Returning Large Amounts of Historical Transactions, Causing Verification Traffic Surge
Over the past two days, we've observed an unusual spike in requests from some iOS users to our server endpoint responsible for verifying App Store purchase receipts. After sampling and analyzing the data, we found that the cause is related to the behavior of StoreKit2.Transaction.updates. Specifically, when listening for transaction updates, the system returns a large number of historical transactions — some dating back as far as one year. These callbacks are interpreted as "new" transactions, which in turn trigger repeated calls to Apple’s receipt verification servers, leading to an abnormal surge in traffic and putting pressure on our backend services. This behavior is ongoing and is something we've never encountered in our previous experience. It appears to be outside of expected behavior, and we suspect it may be due to some kind of abnormality or unintended usage scenario. About review app and subscription
When submitting an app for review, will any unreviewed auto-renewing subscriptions within the app be reviewed simultaneously? I own an app that has passed review and offers an auto-renewing subscription A within the app that has also passed review. To test a new service, I plan to create a new auto-renewing subscription B, which I do not intend to submit for review. After creating Subscription B, I plan to submit the app for review as part of an app update. In that case, is there a possibility that Subscription B will also be reviewed?

App crashes on launch due to missing Swift Concurrency symbol
I'm encountering a crash on app launch. The crash is observed in iOS version 17.6 but not in iOS version 18.5. The only new notable thing I added to this app version was migrate to store kit 2. Unable to get product from storekit in productRequest method.
We’re encountering a problem with StoreKit in the sandbox environment. During an SKProductsRequest, some or all of the product identifiers provided are being returned in the invalidProductIdentifiers array of the SKProductsResponse, despite being valid and already approved. This behavior began occurring since last 2 days only and appears to be intermittent—in some cases, a product identifier that initially fails will succeed after one or two retries, without any changes on our end. What we've verified: All product identifiers are correctly configured and approved in App Store Connect. No recent changes have been made to our product configuration. The same product identifiers have previously worked without issue. We would appreciate any assistance in identifying the root cause of this behavior. Please also let us know if there is a known issue currently affecting StoreKit sandbox services. Thank you for your support.

SKErrorDomain Code 2 Problem
We are facing a serious issues with in app purchases in our app. We offer 3 IAP: auto-renewable subscription 1W, auto-renewable subscription 1Y, non-consumable one-time purchase (LifeTime access) In our case 90-95% of transactions fail and we mostly get SKError code=2 . Sometime purchase fails several times for the same user so it’s very hard to believe that user intentionally cancels transaction for the same product 4 or even 5 times in a row. It happens regardless iOS version, device model, our app version. We've checked multiple threads with the same issue but coudn't find any solution. We do not offer any promotions, product identifiers are valid... Some users are able to make a purchases without any issues.

User charged, but .userCancelled returned
Hello, Is anyone else seeing Purchase.PurchaseResult.UserCancelled, despite a successful transaction? I had a user notify me today that he: Attempted a purchase Entered payment credentials Was asked to opt in to email subscription notifications Opted In Was shown my app's "User Canceled Purchase" UI Attempted to repurchase Was alerted that he was "Already Subscribed" I have adjusted my code to check Transaction.currentEntitlements on receiving a .userCancelled result, to avoid this in the future. ExternalPurchase.presentNoticeSheet returns only cancelled in App Store version
Hello, Our app has been released in Korea with an external payment feature. How do you get user consent for ConsumptionRequest?

If not, respond by calling this API and setting the customerConsented value to false in the ConsumptionRequest; don't send any other information. Since our server would be receiving CONSUMPTION_REQUEST server notifications and will be the one calling the Consumption API, how do we know if the user has provided consent? That info doesn't seem to be in the server notification or anywhere else.

Cannot repurchase subscription SKU — StoreKit keeps returning old expired transaction
Some users cannot repurchase a subscription SKU after it has expired. Flow: User previously subscribed. User canceled and the subscription fully expired. After weeks, user reinstalls the app and taps the same SKU. StoreKit does not create a new purchase transaction. Instead, StoreKit always returns the old expired transaction in updatedTransactions. Therefore, the user is permanently unable to purchase the SKU again. We have already tried: Adding payment observer at app launch Calling finishTransaction for all transactions Clearing queue at startup SKReceiptRefreshRequest Server-side verifyReceipt Ensuring subscription is truly expired (not in grace/retry) Not calling restoreCompletedTransactions None of these resolved the issue. When subscribing to the change notification in the App Store, it was found that the type of notification received by the server did not match the expected problem.
Description of the Issue We are encountering issues with App Store Server Notifications, where the notification type received does not align with our expectations for subscription changes. Specifically, we receive DID_RENEW notifications in scenarios involving downgrades or intra-tier upgrades, which disrupts our backend subscription management logic and may lead to incorrect user subscription states and billing errors. Below are two reproducible scenarios with associated transaction data. Scenario 1: Downgrade from Premium Yearly (with 7-Day Trial) to Standard Yearly Steps to Reproduce: A user purchases the Premium Yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial (initial transaction ID: 700002116066502). On the day before the trial ends, the user downgrades to the Standard Yearly subscription via the App Store’s subscription management interface. Expected Behavior: We expect to receive a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS or a similar downgrade notification (e.g., DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_PREF) to indicate the subscription plan has been downgraded, enabling immediate updates to the user’s subscription status. Actual Behavior: Upon downgrade, our server receives a DID_RENEW notification instead of a downgrade-specific notification. This causes our system to incorrectly interpret the action as a renewal of the Premium subscription rather than a downgrade to Standard, with no subsequent downgrade confirmation received. Actual Behavior: Immediately after the upgrade, our server receives a DID_RENEW notification for the new Yearly plan. No further notifications are received, including no DID_EXPIRE for the original Monthly subscription. This leaves our system unable to confirm the expiration of the Monthly plan, potentially resulting in duplicate active subscriptions in our records. App store payment screen not showing
Hello I am trying to add payments on my app. I have added all products I need in subscriptions. I also tried by using storekit but from my understanding testing with storekit is nothing to rely on. My app works on Android (with the same product IDs same unction call) iOS is not why is that?

Advanced Commerce API returns 404 not found
We got access into Advanced Commerce API and trying out the server APIs. I was trying out the Migrate a Subscription to Advanced Commerce API but the API was just simply returning not found to me with a generic error code 4040000 (this is undocumented in the API doc). verifyReceipt ETIMEDOUT sandbox
The majority of our sandbox calls to verifyReceipt end in an ETIMEDOUT error. This is making it very difficult to verify our purchase flow for our pending release. We have not yet migrated to StoreKit 2 and still rely on this API endpoint. The Apple API status page reports no issues. Is anyone else encountering this?

Proper way to set up Sandbox iOS for Purchase Testing
I cannot explain how frustrating this is. Not that I want to compare to Android, but in 3 years of QA Testing my app, Android works like a dream, while iOS fights with me EVERY SINGLE STEP OF THE WAY. Hopefully someone here can tell me what I am missing/doing wrong/which god I must appease to get this to work. I have 3 REAL iPhones of varying iOS versions and ages. But they are all proper actual iPhones. We use google accounts at this company, so my primary email is a gmail one. I have created MANY sandbox accounts inside App Store Connect. Currently I have 2, and 2 of my devices (both 14's one of which is a Pro) have my Primary account as the main account for the device. But they both also have a Sandbox account which is simply my main email with a +sandbox in it to make it a new unique email. Here is the problem, nothing works as expected ever. I can install my Staging and Production apps from TestFlight, then I can make a subscription purchase as a customer would and I SHOULD see that subscription in my Sandbox right? That's the point of a Sandbox and TestFlight is it not? But in ALL cases whenever I try to view my 'Sandbox Subscriptions' it tells me I don't have any. Now, sometimes, very occasionally, I get a specific error message inside my app when attempting to make a purchase, this one states something like 'You already have a subscription, please restore it instead...' which makes no sense. Since it clearly states that I have none. But this message has a 'Manage' button to manage my subscriptions, tapping it lads me to a windows which amazing DOES have a subscription in it. But attempting to 'Cancel' it does nothing, just refreshes the screen to be the same. Now I think that this subscription is actually attached to the primary account on the device and NOT the sandbox account. So when this happens I cannot subscribe, I cannot restore, and I cannot manually alter the subscription within iOS. So I am stuck at this point. What am I doing wrong, am I setting this all up in the wrong order? Do I need to install some kind of profile or security cert, do I need to give a pint of blood to Imhotep? What am I missing. I even once sat on the phone for 90 minutes with an Apple Support Rep who took me through it step by step, same result. Also I just noticed that inside 'App Store Connect' when you look at the list of 'Sandbox' accounts there is a column for 'Last Purchase' which is entirely blank, apparently after a year of use I have NEVER purchased on the Sandbox, which is another reason I think my subs are going to the main email, not the sandbox one. I tried using the sandbox email as the main account for the whole device, I can't recall the result but it was worse and didn't work at all. Updating this code to comply with TN3138: Handling App Store receipt signing certificate changes
My Mac app fails to open for some users with the error: "ABC.app does not support the latest receipt validation requirements." I assume this is due to the update of the App Store receipt signing intermediate certificate with one that uses the SHA-256 algorithm. I cannot reproduce this myself and I have trouble figuring out how to address this issue. Below is the code that decrypts the receipt and verifies its signature. In-App Purchase Failing
hello, I have an app with In-App purchase set up, it works fine in TestFlight on an iOS device but the download from the App Store gives me a transaction failed message. I tried to replicate in the simulator but from what I've read is that you can't do in-app purchase testing in the simulator. Perhaps I'm wrong here but I've tried multiple sandbox accounts, etc.. and still get an unusual "...password can't be reused..." error (pasted below) in the debug description. I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this scenario and if so how did you go about researching/identifying the issue and/or resolving it. storefront.countryCode is fixed to USA in iOS 26 beta
Whether using Storefront.current?.countryCode or SKPaymentQueue.default().storefront?.countryCode, both are returning "USA" only. (It used to return the correct country code before the update.) In the sandbox environment, the country code is returned correctly, but in the TestFlight environment, it always returns "USA". There's no mention of this behavior in the beta release notes, so I'm posting it here for visibility.

Sandbox Url Not Receiving App Store Server Notifications
I have an Expo React Native application and I am using react-native-iap library. I have setup the URL for sandbox and production url to receive notifications when a something happens regarding subscriptions. I am not able to receive those notifications when I simulate the purchase on the Simulator using Xcode. StoreKit2.Transaction.updates Returning Large Amounts of Historical Transactions, Causing Verification Traffic Surge
Over the past two days, we've observed an unusual spike in requests from some iOS users to our server endpoint responsible for verifying App Store purchase receipts. After sampling and analyzing the data, we found that the cause is related to the behavior of StoreKit2.Transaction.updates. Specifically, when listening for transaction updates, the system returns a large number of historical transactions — some dating back as far as one year. These callbacks are interpreted as "new" transactions, which in turn trigger repeated calls to Apple’s receipt verification servers, leading to an abnormal surge in traffic and putting pressure on our backend services. This behavior is ongoing and is something we've never encountered in our previous experience. It appears to be outside of expected behavior, and we suspect it may be due to some kind of abnormality or unintended usage scenario. About review app and subscription
When submitting an app for review, will any unreviewed auto-renewing subscriptions within the app be reviewed simultaneously? I own an app that has passed review and offers an auto-renewing subscription A within the app that has also passed review. To test a new service, I plan to create a new auto-renewing subscription B, which I do not intend to submit for review. After creating Subscription B, I plan to submit the app for review as part of an app update. In that case, is there a possibility that Subscription B will also be reviewed?
