Hi everyone, I’m working on a web project developed on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), where we’ve built a custom component that embeds Apple Podcasts episodes using the official iframe provided via https://embed.podcasts.apple.com. Everything works correctly from a rendering point of view, but we are now exploring ways to track user interactions with the embedded player, specifically events such as: start, play, pause, progress milestones (e.g. 25%, 50%, etc.). This data would be used to send analytics events to Adobe Analytics. So far, we haven’t found any documentation or JavaScript API that would allow us to listen to these events. We'd like to ask: Is there any official way to track playback events from an Apple Podcasts iframe? Any information, clarification, or direction would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance! Hi everyone, My web application has two services: myapp.com and account.myapp.com. The first manages all app content, while the latter handles the authentication, with Sign In with Apple included. The tech stack is mainly composed of React, JS, and Express. We'd like to allow users to authenticate inside a dialog on some pages of myapp.com. To avoid replicating stuff from one service to another, we put an iframe inside the dialog to show the authentication standard page from account.myapp.com. Email and Facebook processes work fine, but we have the following issues with Sign in with Apple: On desktop, not Safari, a pop-up window opens when you click on the Apple button, and it works as expected. On desktop Safari, the pop-up window is blocked. We want the native Apple pop-up to show instead of a generic browser new window. On mobile, nothing happens on click Obviously, outside the iframe, everything works as expected. I can't seem to find anything related to an iframe constraint in the Sign in with Apple docs. Is this feasible?

WebAuthn can be used in Safari, but when using it with WKWebView, you need to set the default browser definition (com.apple.developer.web-browser). Is this correct? Also, is it possible that the terms of use will change or that it will no longer be available in WKWebView in the future?

Hello, I am experiencing an issue when trying to open the browser on my Apple Watch SE 2 running the latest version, watchOS 11.6. When I attempt to visit any website, the browser opens and displays the URL at the top as if it is loading, but the screen remains black and no content is displayed. The internet connection is available, and all other apps on the watch work normally. This issue occurs only with the browser. I would appreciate any guidance or solution to resolve this problem. Hi everyone, We work on a macOS plugin which then gets loaded into another application. I'm trying to load a webpage in that application through our plugin using a WKWebView & I set my class as the navigationDelegate for the same. I do not receive any callbacks for the WKNavigationDelegate methods. I have debugged & made sure that the navigationDelegate is actually set to my class. Instead of runModalForWindow: if I use showWindow: on the mWindowController the webpage somehow loads but I still don't get any callbacks & so the loadingview subview is also present. The WKWebView is placed in a storyboard, and I have an IBOutlet connected to it in my class. Has anyone faced a similar issue or can point me to something I might be missing? All help is appreciated. My Mac app and its Safari web extension share an app group, and I want to notify the web extension native process when the app makes a change to the app group NSUserDefaults, but I can't find a good way to do this. According to the documentation, "You can use key-value observing to register observers for specific keys of interest in order to be notified of all updates, regardless of whether changes are made within or outside the current process." In my testing, however, this doesn't work in the web extension process. I'm using NSUserDefaults addObserver forKeyPath, but observeValueForKeyPath never gets called. I've also tried NSDistributedNotificationCenter, but the web extension process doesn't receive the notifications sent by the main app. Are either of these supposed to work? If not, are there any alternatives?

The extension popups don't seem to support the dark mode media query. The only way the query gets detected is when a color-scheme is added: <meta name="color-scheme"content="light dark">

I'm building a macOS Google Chrome extension. I need to be able to send messages from the Chrome extension to the macOS app What's the set up flow? I've heard about native messaging, but I struggle to implement it. I've heard about XPC, but not sure JS can send messages to a macOS XPC service.

All Safari interactions are done solely inside a SFSafariExtensionHandler . But now i'm considering adding some features from Google Chrome's Extension API like window switching. Is it possible to add a background.js worker to my existing Safari App Extension to have access to the beginRequest method override inside SFSafariExtensionHandler? Without converting my extension from Safari App Extension to Safari Web Extenion?

An Administrator account is executing safaridriver --enable but it doesn't apply to other standard user accounts and standard accounts can't enable it directly. Is this expected behavior? How can standard users make use of safaridriver?

Hello, We are developing a Safari Web Extension that uses a cookie-based authentication mechanism. The extension makes a request to an endpoint e.g. /login, and this endpoint expects a cookie (e.g., sessionId) to be included with the request. Everything works correctly when running in the default Safari profile. However, when I install and run the same extension in a new, non-default profile, the behaviour changes: The request to /login is still made The cookie sent is not as expected As a result, the response returns null user data I confirmed that logging into the site in the new profile (in a tab) works, but the extension does not appear to share the session/cookie state with the login tab We’ve tried explicitly setting "credentials": "include" in the request but that still didn’t share the cookie in the extension context in the non-default profile. My questions: Is there away to allow cookie-based session sharing between a tab and an extension in non-default profiles in safari? Would switching to a token-based auth mechanism (e.g., Bearer tokens ) be the recommended workaround? I’d appreciate any insights or guidance from those who’ve run into similar issues.

According to the WebAuthn Level 3 spec (Section 7.1.1), when crossOrigin is true, the clientDataJSON may include topOrigin—but Safari does not seem to populate this field. Observed Behavior: Chrome/Firefox: Include topOrigin in clientDataJSON when crossOrigin: true. Safari (macOS/iOS): Omits topOrigin even though crossOrigin is correctly set to true. Example clientDataJSON from Safari: { "type": "webauthn.get", "challenge": "...", "origin": "https://iframe-origin.example.com", "crossOrigin": true // Missing `topOrigin` (expected: parent origin) } Questions: Is this an intentional omission in Safari for privacy/security reasons? I am testing stuff on a website, and it worked well on any mobile browser till iOS18. Now that I am testing iOS26, even with the latest BETA (3) everything works smoothly on any other mobile browser but Safari. Previously I had the bug, which now has been patched, for status-bar, which was flickering too, but popover and page issue seems still there. I have persistent popover and ajax navigation, and both are rendering with bugs and fouc while view/page changes. Example: If I have an element which must stay on its place and its width is 100vw: while page changes it blinks, shrinks, flicker and jumps on rendering, while it simply must stay as is.. Animations and page transitions work smoothly on Chrome mobile (latest iOS 26 beta 3) , while breaking on Safari. I did open a feedback FB18328720, but seems no one caring. Hi! My team and I are developing an education platform. One of our features is a auto-play flashcard feature where users can listen to their flashcards hands free. We are having an issue where the autoplay wont work for users with iPhone's. I think the rule is that user's are supposed to give consent to the auto-play. We do make the user hit play before it starts so that should be the "constent" but it's still not working. Anyone have ideas?

Hello, most of the time I can scan my QR code which is associated with my website and my app clip launches. But some few times I've noticed the URL just opens to that URL in safari. I have had this app clip live for months now so should not be the normal 3 day or so wait. The app clip status is validated for debug and cache in build metadata. When I run diagnostics on my iPhone it says the URL is too long but the data reads every time the app clip is launched so I think that should be okay. My suspicion is that the URL I use hits my server and redirects to the actually app clip url. So I'm this might be causing the hiccup. But why so infrequently then? Only when the app clip fails to launch and I open the URL in safari do I see analytics from my server saying the QR URL was hit and had a status code 302 which redirects to a 404. (since that would be the app clip URL) So wondering if there is a way I can reproduce this issue and then resolve it :D
