StoreKit1: finishTransaction fails to work as expected in iOS 26.4
Our game application is developed based on StoreKit 1, and an exception occurs on iOS 26.4: after players complete a payment, the finishTransaction method fails to properly remove the transaction from the SKPaymentQueue; as a result, when players restart the app, the system still triggers the retry process for this transaction (reconciliation of unpaid orders). Has anyone encountered this issue? If there is a solution, we would appreciate it if you could share it with us.

StoreKit2 Coexistence Issues with Original StoreKit
Background: My app uses a third-party SDK for payments, and it uses Original StoreKit internally for IAP payments. Now I'm getting ready to migrate to StoreKit2, and during the transition, users may use either method to initiate payments, and there's no way to avoid the coexistence of StoreKit2 and Original StoreKit. Problem: When a user has an unfinished transaction, if the app is restarted, both StoreKit2 and Original StoreKit will receive a notification of the transaction: Original StoreKit's '-paymentQueue:updatedTransactions:' method StoreKit2's 'Transaction.updated' method resulting in duplicate calls to the shipping API. My current treatment is to only add '-paymentQueue:updatedTransactions:' to listen for unfinished transactions. Even if the user is using StoreKit2 to initiate the payment, if the transaction is not Finished, it will be fetched via this method after restarting the app to process this transaction. Is this approach feasible and are there any best practices for this scenario? To summarize: Is it feasible to fetch unfinished StoreKit2 transactions via Original StoreKit methods when StoreKit2 coexists with Original StoreKit? Is there a recommended way

Issue with "Transaction.currentEntitlements": Some paid users cannot use the features of our subscription plan
Some paid users are unable to use the paid features unlocked by purchasing our subscription plan. It seems that this is due to StoreKit 2's Transaction.currentEntitlements not working the way we would expect it to work. Are you also encountering this issue? Do you have any idea to improve this situation? At launch, our app checks if the user is subscribed to the plan, using Transaction.currentEntitlements. As a result, the currentEntitlements array was empty. Our app then fetches the products from StoreKit 2 using Product.products(for:). As a result, the Product.SubscriptionInfo.RenewalState value of the corresponding Product (product.subscription.status.first.state) is subscribed, which confirms that the user has indeed purchased our plan, but seems to contradict the absence of the corresponding transaction in Transaction.currentEntitlements. Proactive in-app purchase restore and a restore purchase button calling the AppStore.sync() method are implemented, but using the button did not solve the issue.

Transaction.currentEntitlements failing every time
I am shown as being subscribed to our service in the Subscriptions list in settings yet when going to the Storekit2 page in my app it shows me as NOT being subscribed and is unresponsive. I select Restore Subscription, that grays briefly, asks for a password, then returns to blue and nothing else happens. Bouncing back and forth between monthly and yearly likewise gives no response. The Transaction.currentEntitlements seems to be empty so it thinks the user is not subscribed. I have unsubscribed, and resubscribed via the Settings page to no avail.

StoreKit 2: is there a way for an app to be informed in real time if an auto-renewable subscription is cancelled by the user?
Hello, In my iOS app, I have a customer center where the user can see some details about its current subscription. I display things like the billing period, the price, the introductory offer state, the renewal date if it's not cancelled or the expiration date if it's cancelled, etc. From this screen, the user can open the subscription management sheet. I want to detect if the user cancels the subscription from this sheet or from the App Store (when the app is running) so I can refresh the information displayed on my customer center. I checked the asynchronous sequences provided by StoreKit 2 like Transaction.updates or Product.SubscriptionInfo.Status.updates and tested with a Sandbox account on my physical device with the app debugged using Xcode. But I noticed these sequences don't emit when I cancel the subscription in Sandbox. Is this the expected behavior? Is there a way to observe in real time if a user cancels the subscription? I can still manually check when the sheet is dismissed but it's not ideal because I want to know even if the user cancel from outside of the app with the app running. Thank you, Axel

[macOS] AppTransaction questions (internet connection requirement)
Hello, I hope to find out more about how AppTransaction works on macOS, specifically about its internet connection requirements: if I use this to validate that the app is a legit purchase from the Mac App Store, I would not want it to have an always-on requirement just to validate. Does AppTransaction require the user to always be online for AppTransaction.shared ? When an app is downloaded from the Mac App Store, is the data needed for AppTransaction automatically embedded during that download, or is that data downloaded upon first launch of the app, therefore requiring an internet connection at launch time? Once the data/receipt has been downloaded by AppTransaction, is it cached until the app's next update, or is it cleared at some time during the version's life and needs to be re-downloaded, therefore requiring an internet connection at launch? Where is that receipt/data stored? Also, if you don't mind me sneaking in this non-related but sort of related question, in terms of receipt validation: Does macOS Sequoia's MAC address rotation feature affect receipt validation in any way when using IOKit? App Review cannot complete auto-renewable subscription purchase (Guideline 2.1) although sandbox & TestFlight work
Hello, I’m experiencing repeated rejections related to Guideline 2.1 – App Completeness for an iOS app using auto-renewable subscriptions, and I’m struggling to understand what is missing, as the purchase flow works correctly in sandbox and TestFlight. App setup: iOS app built with React Native (Expo + react-native-iap) Auto-renewable subscriptions: • Monthly: €4.99 • Yearly: €39.99 Paid Apps Agreement accepted Subscriptions configured and active in App Store Connect Privacy Policy and Apple Standard EULA included: • Visible inside the app on the subscription screen • Added in App Store metadata What App Review reports: App Review states they are unable to buy the in-app purchase, resulting in a rejection under Guideline 2.1 (App Completeness). Advanced Commerce (Sandbox) – Generic Product Still “Ready to Submit”
Hello, Our app is approved for the Advanced Commerce API and we are currently testing in the Sandbox environment only. We have created generic product identifiers and have already submitted them via the Advanced Commerce API Access form. However, the generic product status in App Store Connect is still “Ready to Submit.” For Sandbox testing, is this status expected, or do we need to submit an app build or the generic product for review before Advanced Commerce works correctly? Promotional offer purchase fails in Sandbox with ASDServerErrorDomain 3902 after payment sheet
Hello, I’m integrating promotional offers for auto-renewable subscriptions using StoreKit 2. The offer is displayed correctly, the Apple purchase sheet appears, and I can start the payment flow. The sheet shows the correct discounted price and the end date of the offer. However, after confirming the purchase, an alert appears saying “Unable to Purchase - Contact the developer for more information” When dismissing the alert, Xcode logs the following: Purchase did not return a transaction: Error Domain=ASDServerErrorDomain Code=3902 "No se ha podido realizar la compra" UserInfo={ NSLocalizedFailureReason=No se ha podido realizar la compra, client-environment-type=Sandbox, AMSServerErrorCode=3902, storefront-country-code=ESP } Test environment: App installed from Xcode on a real iPhone Logged in with a Sandbox Apple ID Using StoreKit 2 Promotional offer applied using: Product.PurchaseOption.promotionalOffer(_:compactJWS:) On the server side, I generate the promotional offer signature exactly as described in Apple’s documentation: https://aninterestingwebsite.com/documentation/storekit/generating-a-signature-for-promotional-offers The signature is generated using a Subscription Key Signed with ECDSA + SHA256 Uses the correct invisible separator (U+2063) The signature is validated locally using the derived public key and verifies correctly The sandbox user has had previous subscriptions, which is why this promotional offer is eligible and shown. Given that: The offer is displayed correctly The purchase sheet shows the discounted price and duration The signature validates locally The error occurs only after confirming the purchase My question is: Is this a known limitation or issue with promotional offers in the Sandbox environment? Should promotional offers be tested exclusively via TestFlight instead of Sandbox? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

how to handle verification step for in-app purchase?
a UK-based user is having trouble completing an in-app purchase. after going through the typical purchase flow (tapping the button to trigger the in-app purchase sheet, completing Face ID) they see this verification sheet appear over my app and have to go to their banking app to approve the purchase. after approving the purchase from their banking app, they tap "Payment confirmed on Mobile App" to close the sheet, but then see an alert that suggests the result is .userCancelled. the purchase does not seem to have completed. the user reports not being charged (despite numerous attempts). plus, i have a "restore purchases" function on App init that would've restored a purchase if it existed. i have implemented what i think is a typical Storekit.purchase() method (again, the message the user sees is for the .userCancelled case): func purchase(productId: String) async -> (Bool, String?) { guard let product = subscriptionProducts.first(where: { $0.id == productId }) else { return (false, "Product not found") } do { let result = try await product.purchase() switch result { case .success(let verification): switch verification { case .verified(let transaction): await transaction.finish() hasSubscription = true return (true, nil) case .unverified: return (false, "Transaction verification failed") } case .userCancelled: return (false, "No worries, take your time. 😌") case .pending: return (false, "Purchase is pending") u/unknown default: return (false, "Error purchasing product. IAP receipt validation fails with status code: 21002
I have implemented IAP. The purchases are successful. The refresh receipt is working fine, which then calls the requestDidFinish(_ request: SKRequest) delegate. I'm fetching the receipt url through 'Bundle.main.appStoreReceiptURL'. When I convert the receipt data in base64 string and send it to app store's sandbox api and try to validate the receipt, it fails giving status code : 21002.

Purchase Confirmation Letter
Hi all, I've received emails from other apps after making a purchase, with content like: You have purchased {App Name} on {Date & Time} and acknowledged that if you download or use this in-App Purchase within fourteen days of buying it, you will no longer be eligible to cancel this purchase. Do anyone know under what circumstances Apple sends a Purchase Confirmation Letter to the user's email after they purchase our digital products via IAP? Is this something developers can control? Additionally, I've seen pop-up reminders before making a payment in apps, with content similar to the above message. Are these reminders provided by Apple, or can developers create their own guidance to help users avoid accidental purchases? Kindly, Vanto

SubscriptionStoreView Not Working
Hello, I have two auto-renewable subscriptions set up in App Store Connect. However, when I try to use SubscriptionStoreView, I receive the following error: Subscription store should include at least one auto-renewable subscription. I believe my .xcodeproj is misconfigured, as I created a new project since I wanted to start from scratch. What am I missing?

Can you buy an IAP via StoreKit 1 on iOS 26.2?
If an app on the App Store still uses StoreKit 1 (a.k.a. the Original StoreKit) to handle In-App Purchases, would IAPs work for users who download such app on iOS 26.2? Would the app allow the users to purchase an IAP via StoreKit 1 or would it be impossible to buy the IAP on iOS 26? The iOS Documentation says that SKPaymentQueue (which is a part of StoreKit 1) is "Deprecated" and "No longer supported.", with the support being for iOS 3.0–18.0. Does this mean that apps using StoreKit 1 won't be able to make IAP purchases when running on iOS 26?

Inconsistent behavior with transactionId and appAccountToken in iOS Sandbox purchases (StoreKit1 & StoreKit2)
Hi, I'm reaching out to report a recurring issue with in-app purchases on iOS that seems to be related to Apple’s transaction handling — not to third-party libraries. In my Flutter application, I use both StoreKit2 and StoreKit1 (for comparison) via different packages, including the official in_app_purchase package. However, in both cases, I’m experiencing unexpected reuse of transactionId and appTransactionId values, even when initiating fresh purchases with unique appAccountToken values. Problem Summary: Purchase Stream Returns Old Purchases When calling buyNonConsumable() with a new product, the purchase stream still returns data for a previously purchased product, despite clearing all Sandbox transactions and using a new applicationUserName for each attempt. Transaction IDs Reused Across Distinct Purchases Even when generating a new UUID for appAccountToken on each purchase, the returned appTransactionId and transactionId are reused — this breaks our server-side logic, which expects these fields to uniquely identify purchases and users. Example Logs: // First purchase { "appAccountToken": "2d5a0880-f68e-44a7-a414-f51204e63904", "appTransactionId": "704464472748013865", "transactionId": "2000000928154716" } // Second purchase (different user context) { "appAccountToken": "2d5a0880-f68e-44a7-a414-f51204e63904", "appTransactionId": "704464472748013865", "transactionId": "2000000928429780" } Even when using a different productId, the appTransactionId stays the same. When using StoreKit1, the productId updates properly, but the transactionId still matches the previous one. This behavior also affects App Store Server Notifications (V2): we have observed notifications tied to appAccountTokens from completely different user accounts (based on internal logs), sometimes delayed by days or weeks. I’ve prepared a reproducible example using the official Flutter in_app_purchase sample with minimal changes — you can find it here: Github gist The code is almost identical to the package example. I only added UUID generation for applicationUserName in _getToken(). In the actual app (not in this example), I retrieve the token from an API. Additional Observations from the Community: We’ve also found similar issues reported in other frameworks and languages. For instance, a developer using react-native-iap observed that App Store Server Notifications in TestFlight were tied to previously deleted users, even after signing up with a new user account and generating a new appAccountToken. Details here: User A deleted → User B signs up → receives upgrade event with User A’s token Notification uses appAccountToken from old account, not the new one This strengthens the suspicion that the issue may be related to how Apple associates transactions with Apple IDs in test environments. Questions: Is it expected for transactionId or appTransactionId to persist across purchases within the same Apple ID, even for different user contexts (e.g., separate logins in the same app)? Is there any official recommendation for avoiding this kind of data reuse in Sandbox or TestFlight environments? Should I expect appAccountToken in server notifications to always match the latest value provided during the purchase? Thank you in advance for your assistance. StoreKit 2: currentEntitlements always returns empty on Restore...
I tried deleting the configuration file, but I ended up with an alert asking me to sign in with my sandbox ID. I did, and it returned an error: "Request Canceled". It is as if the purchase function doesn't update the currentEntitlements. This is my purchase function. App extension write data The main target reads data.
I have an iOS app with a main target and an app extension. I want the app extension to write data to the SwiftData in App Groups, while the main target reads the data. However, currently, the app extension only has permission to read data, not to write it.Is the issue due to my incorrect configuration or an Apple-imposed restriction?

Given that: The offer is displayed correctly The purchase sheet shows the discounted price and duration The signature validates locally The error occurs only after confirming the purchase My question is: Is this a known limitation or issue with promotional offers in the Sandbox environment? how to handle verification step for in-app purchase?

IAP receipt validation fails with status code: 21002
I have implemented IAP. The purchases are successful. The refresh receipt is working fine, which then calls the requestDidFinish(_ request: SKRequest) delegate. I'm fetching the receipt url through 'Bundle.main.appStoreReceiptURL'. When I convert the receipt data in base64 string and send it to app store's sandbox api and try to validate the receipt, it fails giving status code : 21002.

Purchase Confirmation Letter
Hi all, I've received emails from other apps after making a purchase, with content like: You have purchased {App Name} on {Date & Time} and acknowledged that if you download or use this in-App Purchase within fourteen days of buying it, you will no longer be eligible to cancel this purchase. Do anyone know under what circumstances Apple sends a Purchase Confirmation Letter to the user's email after they purchase our digital products via IAP? Is this something developers can control? Additionally, I've seen pop-up reminders before making a payment in apps, with content similar to the above message. Are these reminders provided by Apple, or can developers create their own guidance to help users avoid accidental purchases? Kindly, Vanto

SubscriptionStoreView Not Working
Hello, I have two auto-renewable subscriptions set up in App Store Connect. However, when I try to use SubscriptionStoreView, I receive the following error: Subscription store should include at least one auto-renewable subscription. I believe my .xcodeproj is misconfigured, as I created a new project since I wanted to start from scratch. What am I missing?

Can you buy an IAP via StoreKit 1 on iOS 26.2?
If an app on the App Store still uses StoreKit 1 (a.k.a. the Original StoreKit) to handle In-App Purchases, would IAPs work for users who download such app on iOS 26.2? Would the app allow the users to purchase an IAP via StoreKit 1 or would it be impossible to buy the IAP on iOS 26? The iOS Documentation says that SKPaymentQueue (which is a part of StoreKit 1) is "Deprecated" and "No longer supported.", with the support being for iOS 3.0–18.0. Does this mean that apps using StoreKit 1 won't be able to make IAP purchases when running on iOS 26?

Inconsistent behavior with transactionId and appAccountToken in iOS Sandbox purchases (StoreKit1 & StoreKit2)
Hi, I'm reaching out to report a recurring issue with in-app purchases on iOS that seems to be related to Apple’s transaction handling — not to third-party libraries. In my Flutter application, I use both StoreKit2 and StoreKit1 (for comparison) via different packages, including the official in_app_purchase package. However, in both cases, I’m experiencing unexpected reuse of transactionId and appTransactionId values, even when initiating fresh purchases with unique appAccountToken values. Problem Summary: Purchase Stream Returns Old Purchases When calling buyNonConsumable() with a new product, the purchase stream still returns data for a previously purchased product, despite clearing all Sandbox transactions and using a new applicationUserName for each attempt. Transaction IDs Reused Across Distinct Purchases Even when generating a new UUID for appAccountToken on each purchase, the returned appTransactionId and transactionId are reused — this breaks our server-side logic, which expects these fields to uniquely identify purchases and users. Example Logs: // First purchase { "appAccountToken": "2d5a0880-f68e-44a7-a414-f51204e63904", "appTransactionId": "704464472748013865", "transactionId": "2000000928154716" } // Second purchase (different user context) { "appAccountToken": "2d5a0880-f68e-44a7-a414-f51204e63904", "appTransactionId": "704464472748013865", "transactionId": "2000000928429780" } Even when using a different productId, the appTransactionId stays the same. When using StoreKit1, the productId updates properly, but the transactionId still matches the previous one. This behavior also affects App Store Server Notifications (V2): we have observed notifications tied to appAccountTokens from completely different user accounts (based on internal logs), sometimes delayed by days or weeks. I’ve prepared a reproducible example using the official Flutter in_app_purchase sample with minimal changes — you can find it here: Github gist The code is almost identical to the package example. I only added UUID generation for applicationUserName in _getToken(). In the actual app (not in this example), I retrieve the token from an API. Additional Observations from the Community: We’ve also found similar issues reported in other frameworks and languages. For instance, a developer using react-native-iap observed that App Store Server Notifications in TestFlight were tied to previously deleted users, even after signing up with a new user account and generating a new appAccountToken. Details here: User A deleted → User B signs up → receives upgrade event with User A’s token Notification uses appAccountToken from old account, not the new one This strengthens the suspicion that the issue may be related to how Apple associates transactions with Apple IDs in test environments. Questions: Is it expected for transactionId or appTransactionId to persist across purchases within the same Apple ID, even for different user contexts (e.g., separate logins in the same app)? Is there any official recommendation for avoiding this kind of data reuse in Sandbox or TestFlight environments? Should I expect appAccountToken in server notifications to always match the latest value provided during the purchase? Thank you in advance for your assistance. StoreKit 2: currentEntitlements always returns empty on Restore...
I tried deleting the configuration file, but I ended up with an alert asking me to sign in with my sandbox ID. I did, and it returned an error: "Request Canceled". It is as if the purchase function doesn't update the currentEntitlements. This is my purchase function.
