Problem with Family sharing on live build.
Hello, Our app supports family sharing skus, we successfully ran tests on family sharing features in sandbox, we noticed the feature does not work on live builds. The family member (child account) do see the subscription as "Shared with you". We attempted to restore multiple time and there is nothing to restore.

Regarding the pattern of multiple original transaction IDs being linked
In the app we're distributing, we've identified a user where the Get All Subscription Statuses API returns two original transaction IDs in the data response. This user has gone through cancellations and re-subscriptions since their initial purchase. Wrong value for storekit custom purchase link allowed regions entitlement
Greetings fellow devs, After accepting the Alternative Terms Addendum for Apps in the EU and adding the Storekit External Purchases or Offers capability via App Store Connect in our app identifier, the entitlement showing up in xcode is com.apple.developer.storekit.custom-purchase-link.allowed-regions and has the value 'jp'. How can we change the value for that entitlement to 'gr'? We tried changing it in xcode, but we get the error <Provisioning profile "iOS Team Provisioning Profile: [app identifier]" doesn't match the entitlements file's value for the com.apple.developer.storekit.custom-purchase-link.allowed-regions entitlement.>. In Certificates, Identifiers and Profiles in the developer account there is no way to configure that capability. We sent a request to support and they only gave a link to documentation and to the forum here. We have a completed every business agreement requested and we have chosen Greece as the organisation region and the app's availability region wherever possible. We haven't found anywhere that Japan would be chosen to explain the entitlement given. So where can this entitlement about allowed regions be configured? Xcode version is 16.4 and iOS minimum deployments is 18

TestFlight Subscription Upgrade Handling
Looking for assistance in managing subscription upgrades for TestFlight users. I have a few monthly subscriptions, 30days, each with a different set of available features, 1 with all, and 1 with fewer. (All are in proper order and grouped in App Store connection subscriptions) subscribing seems to be working fine, and purchasing an upgrade is going ok. what is not: reflecting the upgraded plan in app (currently reflects it will start in 30days when current subscription expires) I’m lead to believe this will be resolved with a live app in App Store, that will then handle prorating, terminate the old plan and immediately start the new one. looking for help getting TestFlight to show immediate upgrades.

SKAdNetwork 3.0 postbacks are not being delivered.
Hi To test SkAdNetwork, I installed the profile from the documentation (https://aninterestingwebsite.com/documentation/storekit/testing-ad-attributions-with-a-downloaded-profile) on my ios device. and turned off and on Allow Apps to Request to Track to change the idfa value. In this state, I installed the app (bundle id: id436731843) using SKAdNetwork with the following values at April 8th AM 01 (UTC) SkAdnetwork version: 3.0 fidelity fidelity=0, nonce=b3346a51-f7b5-42a2-a508-775a62317c83, timestamp=1744076349671, signature=... fidelity=1, nonce=b3346a51-f7b5-42a2-a508-775a62317c83, timestamp=1744076349672, signature=... itunesitem=436731843 network=87u5trcl3r.skadnetwork sourceapp=1220307907 I was hoping to get a postback after , but after a day, the postback is still not delivered. StoreKit 2 subscription: “Continue to Purchase” does nothing in App Review, works in TestFlight
Hi, I’ve been struggling for a while with an issue around an auto-renewable subscription using StoreKit 2 and I’d like to double-check here whether I’m missing something, or if anyone has seen similar behavior. Context • iOS / iPadOS app, first release • 1 auto-renewable subscription (only product in the app) • Using StoreKit 2 only (Product, Transaction, AppStore) • Review device according to the message: iPad Air 11” (M3), iPadOS 26.2 • I keep failing on Guideline 2.1 – App Completeness • The App Review message is always the same: “The In-App Purchase products in the app exhibited one or more bugs which create a poor user experience. Specifically, no action occurred when we tapped on the Continue to Purchase button.” In App Store Connect, the subscription is properly configured, is in the state Ready for Review, and is correctly associated with this app version. What I see (locally + TestFlight) In TestFlight and local builds, the behavior looks correct: • Product.products(for: […]) returns the product, the price and currency are displayed correctly on the paywall / subscription card. • The user taps “Get PRO” → my overlay is shown (“Preparing purchase…” → then a screen with confirmation and price). • After tapping the “Continue to Purchase” button in that overlay, I call await product.purchase(). • On my devices, the system StoreKit purchase sheet always appears. • In the sandbox logs I can see: • a successful result from purchase() • a verified transaction via VerificationResult • the “user has PRO” flag being set correctly after refreshing entitlements (Transaction.currentEntitlements + fallback Transaction.latest(for:)). I’ve tested this on multiple real devices and with several sandbox Apple IDs – I cannot reproduce the “nothing happens after tapping” problem. What App Review reports App Review repeatedly claims that “no action occurred when we tapped on the Continue to Purchase button.” From their screenshots and description, the flow is: 1. They open Settings → subscription card. 2. They see the loaded price, so the product has clearly been fetched successfully from the App Store. 3. They tap my “Get SalonFlow PRO” button. 4. My overlay appears with the subscription name and price. 5. They tap “Continue to Purchase” (in my UI this is “Pokračovat k nákupu”). 6. According to them, nothing happens – no system StoreKit confirmation, no error message, no visible action. Important: this overlay did not appear as an extra complication, but as a reaction to their earlier feedback: • Originally, I had a simple flow: button in the card → directly calling purchase(). • App Review at that time said that after tapping the button “nothing happens”. • I added the overlay specifically to make it obvious that the button does react and that the app is preparing the system purchase: I show the product, the price, and a text explaining that a system App Store confirmation will appear next. • Only from that overlay do I call purchase(). So: in their environment they obviously do reach the overlay (meaning the button definitely does “something”), but the actual StoreKit purchase sheet never shows up. Additional changes and “safety belts” From the App Review video it was clear they were tapping the purchase button roughly 3 seconds after launching the app. So I tightened the flow even more: • The “Get SalonFlow PRO” button is now: • disabled until the product has been loaded from the App Store, • visually dimmed, with a spinner and a short text like “Loading subscription information, please wait…”. • The button only becomes active once the product is actually loaded and ready. • After that, the user goes through a two-step process: 1. tap “Get SalonFlow PRO” → overlay with details, 2. tap “Continue to Purchase” → this is where I call purchase(). On my devices, after that step the system purchase confirmation always appears. But App Review still says that after tapping “Continue to Purchase” nothing happens. What I’d like to ask 1. Has anyone seen a situation where Product.purchase() with StoreKit 2 works fine in TestFlight and sandbox testing, but in the App Review environment the system purchase sheet never appears (no error, just “nothing”)? 2. Are there any known edge cases on iPad (iPadOS 26.2, iPad Air M3) where the StoreKit purchase sheet might fail to show even if: • AppStore.canMakePayments == true, • the product is valid and loaded, • and no error is thrown from purchase()? 3. Could App Review consider my two-step flow (button → overlay → confirm button calling purchase()) problematic in itself, even though the overlay is there precisely because of their initial complaint that “nothing happens” after tapping the button? 4. Is there anything concrete you’d recommend: • adding to the logs, • changing in the timing/order of the purchase() call, • or adjusting in the UI, to make it absolutely clear what is happening in their environment if the system sheet never appears? From my point of view, the implementation follows the StoreKit 2 documentation, everything works correctly in real tests and TestFlight, but the App Review environment behaves differently and I keep getting stuck on Guideline 2.1. I’d really appreciate any experience, tips (“we had exactly this and fixed it by X”), or even a recommendation to radically simplify the flow back to a minimal “button → directly purchase()” without any intermediate overlay. Thanks a lot for any help – this review loop has been going on for weeks and I’d really like to finally resolve it.

StoreKit appAccountToken Not Preserved During Apple ID Email Migration
I'm encountering an issue with the App Store Server API where the appAccountToken is not preserved when users migrate their Apple ID email addresses. I've submitted Feedback Assistant ticket FB18709241 but wanted to check if anyone else has experienced this and get community input on best practices. The Issue When a user migrates their Apple ID from one email to another (e.g., from olduser@example.com to newuser@icloud.com), the App Store creates a new subscription transaction with a different originalTransactionId, but the appAccountToken is not carried forward from the original transaction. What I'm Seeing note: these values are fake When querying /inApps/v1/subscriptions/{originalTransactionId} with the either post-migration transaction ID or the pre-migration transaction ID, the API returns both transactions: Pre-migration transaction (status: 2 - inactive): originalTransactionId: "12345678910111" Contains: "appAccountToken": "abc123-def456-ghi789" Post-migration transaction (status: 1 - active): originalTransactionId: "67891011121314" Missing: appAccountToken entirely The Problem The appAccountToken is our only way to link App Store subscriptions to user accounts. Without it on the new transaction: Users lose access to premium features despite having valid subscriptions Server-side renewal notifications can't be matched to user accounts Manual support intervention is required for each affected user Questions for the Community Has anyone else encountered this issue with Apple ID migrations? What's the recommended approach for handling this scenario? Is there an alternative mechanism to maintain the subscription-to-user linkage across migrations? Questions for Apple Engineers Is this the expected behavior, or should the appAccountToken be preserved? Are there any planned improvements to handle this migration scenario? What's the best practice for developers to handle this case? Interestingly, both the old and new transaction IDs return the same JSON response from the App Store Server API, suggesting Apple maintains internal linkage between these transactions, but the appAccountToken isn't carried forward to the active transaction. Urgent - React Native IAP Issue

Issues with Integration of Promotional Offers in React Native app
Hi All, We are trying to integrate Promotional Offer in our app, We have a React Native app and are using react-native-iap for handling our in app purchases, as per the documentation we are generating signature in our BE and passing the proper details to the function as well, but for subscription request which have offer applied we are getting the apple pop up properly as well with offer details but when trying to subscribe it gives us SKErrroDomain: 12, for subscription without applying offer the subscription goes through but when we apply the offer we get the above error. Our app is currently in Development Stages and has not been sent for review sam for our subscription plans as well. Please let me know what could be the probable cause for this and help us resolve the issue. In-App Subscriptions Not Fetching in Sandbox or Production (expo-iap / React Native / Bare Workflow)
Hi everyone, I’m encountering an issue with my in-app subscriptions setup. When I test using the StoreKit configuration file in Xcode, everything works correctly — the subscriptions are fetched and I can simulate purchases without any issues. However, when I switch to the Sandbox or Production environment, my app fails to fetch the available products from Apple’s servers. The call to fetchProducts (from the expo-iap library) returns an empty array. Here’s some context about my setup: Framework: React Native (Expo Bare Workflow) Library: expo-iap Products: Auto-renewable subscriptions StoreKit Configuration: Synced with App Store Connect Status: Subscription Plans are approved in App Store Connect I’ve verified the following: The product identifiers in code match exactly with those in App Store Connect. The app is signed with the correct bundle ID. I’m testing with a Sandbox account (logged in via Settings -> Developer -> Sandbox Tester Account). Despite this, the response from Apple’s servers still contains an empty array. Has anyone experienced something similar with expo-iap or in general when moving from StoreKit configuration to Sandbox/Production? Apple ID Password Is Required During In-App Purchase
Hello, I would like to ask about an Apple ID authentication behavior during in-app purchases. Our app uses a StoreKit 1 (SKPaymentQueue-based) implementation, and there are no differences in the in-app purchase logic between the TestFlight build and the App Store production build. However, we have observed that some users are prompted to enter their Apple ID password during in-app purchases. The observed behavior is as follows: On the first in-app purchase, the system prompts for the Apple ID password After the password is entered once, subsequent purchases proceed normally using Face ID (double side-button press) Even after deleting and reinstalling the app, or switching between TestFlight and App Store builds, the password prompt does not reappear if authentication has already occurred This behavior can occur even when the Apple ID already has an active auto-renewable subscription The only confirmed change on our side is: The app is now built with Xcode 26 instead of Xcode 18 Based on this, we are currently considering the following possible causes: A change in purchase authentication behavior due to the Xcode version update Expiration of the Apple ID purchase authentication session after a long period without purchases In addition to these points, we would like to ask: Are there any other common conditions or security policies in iOS or the App Store that may cause the system to require Apple ID password input during in-app purchases? Is this behavior considered expected under certain circumstances? An unrecognised subscription
Hello, I have a problem with a subscription: it is not recognised by my application (under TestFlight); it is as if it did not exist. I have two subscriptions in the same group, a premium subscription that works perfectly and a basic subscription that is not recognised. I have checked everything at least twenty times. Its status is ‘Ready to submit’. I asked GPT 5.1 and Claude AI, but clearly both of their AIs are out of date and are giving me an obsolete procedure with App Store Connect options that don't exist.

How to check if user still have valid subscription?
Is there an API Endpoint that I can call to check if user still have valid subscription? I want to be sure that his subscription renewal was succesful (ie: I dont want to give him another month/year/.. if his latest renewal wasnt successful) Would GET https://api.storekit.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/transactions/{transactionId} be the correct API endpoint to call? But I wonder, after subscription auto-renews, do we still use the same transactionId to check whether his subs is still valid?

WatchOS IAP -- why is this such a mess?
Need to vent a bit before relaxing for Christmas... WatchOS IAP using Storekit 2 is such a mess...is nobody actually using this or does Apple just not care for the user experience here? Lots of users experience after the purchase confirmation double tap on the side button an instant return to the purchase screen with nothing actually happening. No error message whatsoever. There is just one remedy: users need to unpair and re-pair their watch, including restoring a backup and setting up their wallet again. Nobody really wants to do this, or doesn't believe me and think this is just typical support BS, because their watch is paired and most things just work as they expect. And it turns away a customer, often leaving a bad review. And I can't do anything about it. Other errors in the purchase process are reported, but like "process interrupted" in case the payment is not setup correctly (credit car no longer valid or sth.). How should the user know? There must be better ways of letting him know what exactly the problem is. You need to implement a "Restore Purchase" function, otherwise you're not passing the review. But it really asks every time for the AppStore password, and users with crazy passwords -- that they rightfully should have! -- have almost no chance of typing them successfully on the tiny AW keyboard. Why is it not also just a side button double tap like for purchase? At the very least you would need access to the keychain PWs or allow pasting of sth. copied on the paired iPhone. Promo Codes for IAP on AW-only apps just don't work. AW has no redemption at all, and on the iPhone the AppStore will try to talk to a companion app (which AW-only doesn't have) and the end up in a dead-end installation effort. This all feels like never really tested in the field, and people are of course blaming the 3rd party dev. for all these issues. And opening a ticket is just leading nowhere -- at best it's closed after months with the hint "duplicate" but w/o any chance for me to see that one that they then actually work on and track progress. It's all so frustratingly broken...

Wrong value for storekit custom purchase link allowed regions entitlement
Greetings fellow devs, After accepting the Alternative Terms Addendum for Apps in the EU and adding the Storekit External Purchases or Offers capability via App Store Connect in our app identifier, the entitlement showing up in xcode is com.apple.developer.storekit.custom-purchase-link.allowed-regions and has the value 'jp'. How can we change the value for that entitlement to 'gr'? We tried changing it in xcode, but we get the error <Provisioning profile "iOS Team Provisioning Profile: [app identifier]" doesn't match the entitlements file's value for the com.apple.developer.storekit.custom-purchase-link.allowed-regions entitlement.>. In Certificates, Identifiers and Profiles in the developer account there is no way to configure that capability. We sent a request to support and they only gave a link to documentation and to the forum here. We have a completed every business agreement requested and we have chosen Greece as the organisation region and the app's availability region wherever possible. We haven't found anywhere that Japan would be chosen to explain the entitlement given. So where can this entitlement about allowed regions be configured? Xcode version is 16.4 and iOS minimum deployments is 18

TestFlight Subscription Upgrade Handling
Looking for assistance in managing subscription upgrades for TestFlight users. I have a few monthly subscriptions, 30days, each with a different set of available features, 1 with all, and 1 with fewer. (All are in proper order and grouped in App Store connection subscriptions) subscribing seems to be working fine, and purchasing an upgrade is going ok. what is not: reflecting the upgraded plan in app (currently reflects it will start in 30days when current subscription expires) I’m lead to believe this will be resolved with a live app in App Store, that will then handle prorating, terminate the old plan and immediately start the new one. looking for help getting TestFlight to show immediate upgrades.

SKAdNetwork 3.0 postbacks are not being delivered.
Hi To test SkAdNetwork, I installed the profile from the documentation (https://aninterestingwebsite.com/documentation/storekit/testing-ad-attributions-with-a-downloaded-profile) on my ios device. and turned off and on Allow Apps to Request to Track to change the idfa value. I am trying use SKOverlay to promote an app, and I currently have the campaignToken field populated. However, even when installs happen from the SKOverlay, nothing shows up under that campaign token in App Store Connect. Is there something that I'm missing? I don't have the providerToken set.

StoreKit 2 subscription: “Continue to Purchase” does nothing in App Review, works in TestFlight
Hi, I’ve been struggling for a while with an issue around an auto-renewable subscription using StoreKit 2 and I’d like to double-check here whether I’m missing something, or if anyone has seen similar behavior. Context • iOS / iPadOS app, first release • 1 auto-renewable subscription (only product in the app) • Using StoreKit 2 only (Product, Transaction, AppStore) • Review device according to the message: iPad Air 11” (M3), iPadOS 26.2 • I keep failing on Guideline 2.1 – App Completeness • The App Review message is always the same: “The In-App Purchase products in the app exhibited one or more bugs which create a poor user experience. Specifically, no action occurred when we tapped on the Continue to Purchase button.” In App Store Connect, the subscription is properly configured, is in the state Ready for Review, and is correctly associated with this app version. What I see (locally + TestFlight) In TestFlight and local builds, the behavior looks correct: • Product.products(for: […]) returns the product, the price and currency are displayed correctly on the paywall / subscription card. • The user taps “Get PRO” → my overlay is shown (“Preparing purchase…” → then a screen with confirmation and price). • After tapping the “Continue to Purchase” button in that overlay, I call await product.purchase(). • On my devices, the system StoreKit purchase sheet always appears. • In the sandbox logs I can see: • a successful result from purchase() • a verified transaction via VerificationResult • the “user has PRO” flag being set correctly after refreshing entitlements (Transaction.currentEntitlements + fallback Transaction.latest(for:)). I’ve tested this on multiple real devices and with several sandbox Apple IDs – I cannot reproduce the “nothing happens after tapping” problem. What App Review reports App Review repeatedly claims that “no action occurred when we tapped on the Continue to Purchase button.” From their screenshots and description, the flow is: 1. They open Settings → subscription card. 2. They see the loaded price, so the product has clearly been fetched successfully from the App Store. 3. They tap my “Get SalonFlow PRO” button. 4. My overlay appears with the subscription name and price. 5. They tap “Continue to Purchase” (in my UI this is “Pokračovat k nákupu”). 6. According to them, nothing happens – no system StoreKit confirmation, no error message, no visible action. Important: this overlay did not appear as an extra complication, but as a reaction to their earlier feedback: • Originally, I had a simple flow: button in the card → directly calling purchase(). • App Review at that time said that after tapping the button “nothing happens”. • I added the overlay specifically to make it obvious that the button does react and that the app is preparing the system purchase: I show the product, the price, and a text explaining that a system App Store confirmation will appear next. • Only from that overlay do I call purchase(). So: in their environment they obviously do reach the overlay (meaning the button definitely does “something”), but the actual StoreKit purchase sheet never shows up. Additional changes and “safety belts” From the App Review video it was clear they were tapping the purchase button roughly 3 seconds after launching the app. So I tightened the flow even more: • The “Get SalonFlow PRO” button is now: • disabled until the product has been loaded from the App Store, • visually dimmed, with a spinner and a short text like “Loading subscription information, please wait…”. • The button only becomes active once the product is actually loaded and ready. • After that, the user goes through a two-step process: 1. tap “Get SalonFlow PRO” → overlay with details, 2. tap “Continue to Purchase” → this is where I call purchase(). On my devices, after that step the system purchase confirmation always appears. But App Review still says that after tapping “Continue to Purchase” nothing happens. What I’d like to ask 1. Has anyone seen a situation where Product.purchase() with StoreKit 2 works fine in TestFlight and sandbox testing, but in the App Review environment the system purchase sheet never appears (no error, just “nothing”)? 2. Are there any known edge cases on iPad (iPadOS 26.2, iPad Air M3) where the StoreKit purchase sheet might fail to show even if: • AppStore.canMakePayments == true, • the product is valid and loaded, • and no error is thrown from purchase()? 3. Could App Review consider my two-step flow (button → overlay → confirm button calling purchase()) problematic in itself, even though the overlay is there precisely because of their initial complaint that “nothing happens” after tapping the button? 4. Is there anything concrete you’d recommend: • adding to the logs, • changing in the timing/order of the purchase() call, • or adjusting in the UI, to make it absolutely clear what is happening in their environment if the system sheet never appears? From my point of view, the implementation follows the StoreKit 2 documentation, everything works correctly in real tests and TestFlight, but the App Review environment behaves differently and I keep getting stuck on Guideline 2.1. I’d really appreciate any experience, tips (“we had exactly this and fixed it by X”), or even a recommendation to radically simplify the flow back to a minimal “button → directly purchase()” without any intermediate overlay. Thanks a lot for any help – this review loop has been going on for weeks and I’d really like to finally resolve it.

StoreKit appAccountToken Not Preserved During Apple ID Email Migration
I'm encountering an issue with the App Store Server API where the appAccountToken is not preserved when users migrate their Apple ID email addresses. I've submitted Feedback Assistant ticket FB18709241 but wanted to check if anyone else has experienced this and get community input on best practices. The Issue When a user migrates their Apple ID from one email to another (e.g., from olduser@example.com to newuser@icloud.com), the App Store creates a new subscription transaction with a different originalTransactionId, but the appAccountToken is not carried forward from the original transaction. What I'm Seeing note: these values are fake When querying /inApps/v1/subscriptions/{originalTransactionId} with the either post-migration transaction ID or the pre-migration transaction ID, the API returns both transactions: Pre-migration transaction (status: 2 - inactive): originalTransactionId: "12345678910111" Contains: "appAccountToken": "abc123-def456-ghi789" Post-migration transaction (status: 1 - active): originalTransactionId: "67891011121314" Missing: appAccountToken entirely The Problem The appAccountToken is our only way to link App Store subscriptions to user accounts. Without it on the new transaction: Users lose access to premium features despite having valid subscriptions Server-side renewal notifications can't be matched to user accounts Manual support intervention is required for each affected user Questions for the Community Has anyone else encountered this issue with Apple ID migrations? What's the recommended approach for handling this scenario? Is there an alternative mechanism to maintain the subscription-to-user linkage across migrations? Questions for Apple Engineers Is this the expected behavior, or should the appAccountToken be preserved? Are there any planned improvements to handle this migration scenario? What's the best practice for developers to handle this case? Interestingly, both the old and new transaction IDs return the same JSON response from the App Store Server API, suggesting Apple maintains internal linkage between these transactions, but the appAccountToken isn't carried forward to the active transaction. Issues with Integration of Promotional Offers in React Native app
Hi All, We are trying to integrate Promotional Offer in our app, We have a React Native app and are using react-native-iap for handling our in app purchases, as per the documentation we are generating signature in our BE and passing the proper details to the function as well, but for subscription request which have offer applied we are getting the apple pop up properly as well with offer details but when trying to subscribe it gives us SKErrroDomain: 12, for subscription without applying offer the subscription goes through but when we apply the offer we get the above error. Our app is currently in Development Stages and has not been sent for review sam for our subscription plans as well. Please let me know what could be the probable cause for this and help us resolve the issue. In-App Subscriptions Not Fetching in Sandbox or Production (expo-iap / React Native / Bare Workflow)
Hi everyone, I’m encountering an issue with my in-app subscriptions setup. When I test using the StoreKit configuration file in Xcode, everything works correctly — the subscriptions are fetched and I can simulate purchases without any issues. However, when I switch to the Sandbox or Production environment, my app fails to fetch the available products from Apple’s servers. The call to fetchProducts (from the expo-iap library) returns an empty array. Apple ID Password Is Required During In-App Purchase
Hello, I would like to ask about an Apple ID authentication behavior during in-app purchases. Our app uses a StoreKit 1 (SKPaymentQueue-based) implementation, and there are no differences in the in-app purchase logic between the TestFlight build and the App Store production build. However, we have observed that some users are prompted to enter their Apple ID password during in-app purchases. The observed behavior is as follows: On the first in-app purchase, the system prompts for the Apple ID password After the password is entered once, subsequent purchases proceed normally using Face ID (double side-button press) Even after deleting and reinstalling the app, or switching between TestFlight and App Store builds, the password prompt does not reappear if authentication has already occurred This behavior can occur even when the Apple ID already has an active auto-renewable subscription The only confirmed change on our side is: The app is now built with Xcode 26 instead of Xcode 18 Based on this, we are currently considering the following possible causes: A change in purchase authentication behavior due to the Xcode version update Expiration of the Apple ID purchase authentication session after a long period without purchases In addition to these points, we would like to ask: Are there any other common conditions or security policies in iOS or the App Store that may cause the system to require Apple ID password input during in-app purchases? Is this behavior considered expected under certain circumstances? An unrecognised subscription
Hello, I have a problem with a subscription: it is not recognised by my application (under TestFlight); it is as if it did not exist. I have two subscriptions in the same group, a premium subscription that works perfectly and a basic subscription that is not recognised. I have checked everything at least twenty times. Its status is ‘Ready to submit’. I asked GPT 5.1 and Claude AI, but clearly both of their AIs are out of date and are giving me an obsolete procedure with App Store Connect options that don't exist.

How to check if user still have valid subscription?
Is there an API Endpoint that I can call to check if user still have valid subscription? I want to be sure that his subscription renewal was succesful (ie: I dont want to give him another month/year/.. if his latest renewal wasnt successful) Would GET https://api.storekit.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/transactions/{transactionId} be the correct API endpoint to call? But I wonder, after subscription auto-renews, do we still use the same transactionId to check whether his subs is still valid?

WatchOS IAP -- why is this such a mess?
Need to vent a bit before relaxing for Christmas... WatchOS IAP using Storekit 2 is such a mess...is nobody actually using this or does Apple just not care for the user experience here? Lots of users experience after the purchase confirmation double tap on the side button an instant return to the purchase screen with nothing actually happening. No error message whatsoever. There is just one remedy: users need to unpair and re-pair their watch, including restoring a backup and setting up their wallet again. Nobody really wants to do this, or doesn't believe me and think this is just typical support BS, because their watch is paired and most things just work as they expect. And it turns away a customer, often leaving a bad review. And I can't do anything about it. Other errors in the purchase process are reported, but like "process interrupted" in case the payment is not setup correctly (credit car no longer valid or sth.). How should the user know? There must be better ways of letting him know what exactly the problem is. You need to implement a "Restore Purchase" function, otherwise you're not passing the review. But it really asks every time for the AppStore password, and users with crazy passwords -- that they rightfully should have! -- have almost no chance of typing them successfully on the tiny AW keyboard. Why is it not also just a side button double tap like for purchase? At the very least you would need access to the keychain PWs or allow pasting of sth. copied on the paired iPhone. Promo Codes for IAP on AW-only apps just don't work. AW has no redemption at all, and on the iPhone the AppStore will try to talk to a companion app (which AW-only doesn't have) and the end up in a dead-end installation effort. This all feels like never really tested in the field, and people are of course blaming the 3rd party dev. for all these issues. And opening a ticket is just leading nowhere -- at best it's closed after months with the hint "duplicate" but w/o any chance for me to see that one that they then actually work on and track progress. It's all so frustratingly broken...
