PSF Meeting Minutes for Oct. 16, 2017
A regular meeting of the Python Software Foundation ("PSF") Board of Directors was held over Group Conference Call via phone and Internet Relay Chat beginning at 15:00 UTC (GMT/Zulu), on Octomber 16, 2017. Betsy Waliszewski took notes/minutes.
All votes are reported in the form "Y-N-A" (in favor-Y‚opposed-N‚abstentions-A; e.g. "5-1-2" means "5 in favor, 1 opposed, and 2 abstentions").

1 Attendance
The following members of the Board of Directors (11 of 13) were present at the meeting: Van Lindberg, Lorena Mesa, Naomi Ceder, Paul Hildebrandt, Thomas Wouters, Marlene Mhangami, Trey Hunner, Eric Holscher, Kushal Das, Jackie Kazil, and Ewa Jodlowska.
Kurt Kaiser (Treasurer), Betsy Waliszewski (Event Planner and Administrator), Phyllis Dobbs (Controller/Assistant Treasurer Accountant), and Mark Mangoba (IT Manager) were also in attendance.

9 Other Business / Discussions
- Discussed Membership & Donation drive results. Final numbers will be announced later this week.
- The board discussed SSO services as a possibility for consolidating all of the various logins our community members have. We discussed security risks and usability. The discussion ended on the possibility of us looking into a third party vendor that can provide the service.
- One of the Directors reported on attending the PyConf Hyderabad 2017 conference. Additionally we received an update on how the organizing is going for PyCon Pune.
10 Action Items
- PSF IT Manager will work on getting access to all traffic reports and will compile a comprehensive report to the board periodically. This comprehensive report will include traffic analytics for all of python.org (and sub domains) and pypi. The IT Manager will also give appropriate access to the raw data to any director that requests it.
- The PSF IT Manager will contact PyPI maintainers to see if we can flag which packages are corporate.
- The PSF's Event Coordinator will contact the jobs volunteer group. The goal of the discussion is to discover the current process and how the process and value can be improved.
- The Director of Operations and a board director gave an update on the PyPI MOSS grant. The board director will be writing a blog (for http://pyfound.blogspot.com/) about the work being done.
