PSF Meeting Minutes for Aug. 8, 2016
A regular meeting of the Python Software Foundation ("PSF") Board of Directors was held over Group Conference Call via phone and Internet Relay Chat beginning at [1:00 UTC (GMT/Zulu, on August 8, 2016)]. Betsy Waliszewski took notes/minutes.
All votes are reported in the form "Y-N-A" (in favor-Y‚opposed-N‚abstentions-A; e.g. "5-1-2" means "5 in favor, 1 opposed, and 2 abstentions").

1 Attendance
The following members of the Board of Directors (6 of 11) were present at the meeting: Diana Clarke, Van Lindberg, Kushal Das, Trey Hunner, Naomi Ceder, and Jacqueline Kazil. Annapoornima Koppad, Lorena Mesa, and Carol Willing were represented by proxy. 6 directors were present and 3 directors sent in proxy votes.
Kurt Kaiser (Treasurer), Betsy Waliszewski (Event Planner and Administrator), Mark Mangoba (IT Manager) were also in attendance.
2 Minutes of Past Meetings
The 29 July 2016 Board meeting minutes were voted on and approved.
RESOLVED, that the PSF approve the minutes at https://mail.python.org/mailman/private/psf-board/2016-August/039111.html as representing a true and accurate record of the July 29, 2016 meeting.

7.1 PSF Sponsor Work Group
RESOLVED, that the Python Software Foundation acknowledge the creation of the Python Software Foundation Sponsor Work Group to review and approve applications for sponsorship.

RESOLVED, that the Python Software Foundation sponsor PyCon Finland 2016 in the amount of $2,000 USD

7.3 Django Girls Delhi
RESOLVED, that the Python Software Foundation sponsor Django Girls Delhi, India 2016 in the amount of $450 USD.

7.4 GABIDDC video game development classes
RESOLVED, that the Python Software Foundation grant $500 USD to fund the Fall 2016 GABIDDC video game development classes.

RESOLVED, that the Python Software Foundation grant PyData DC $2250 USD. The event is happening October 7-9, 2016.

8 Other Business / Discussions
- Further discussion of sending funds to Zimbabwe to be continued via email.
- Funding for directors to represent the PSF at outside conferences / events - add to discussion for next meeting.

- Defer vote on Abuja Pythonistas Python User Group meetup to the next meeting pending more information.
