We use python, Qt and numpy on Linux and work closely with meteorologists to improve the accuracy, usefulness and timeliness of forecasts.

- Australian Citizenship
- A degree or diploma of an Australian educational institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, which is appropriate to the duties; OR other comparable qualifications, which are appropriate to the duties.
- The successful applicant may be required to obtain, and maintain, a Baseline security clearance.
- software engineering experience
- experience developing Python applications in a Linux environment suitable for 24/7 operational use. Experience with numpy, scipy, PyQt, netCDF, hdf5, GRIB would be an advantage.
- Experience working with scientific concepts, data and requirements highly rated.
