prepareInterfaceToProvideCredential .oneTimeCode case is not called
Since release of 18.4. prepareInterfaceToProvideCredential .oneTimeCode case is not called and instead prepareInterfaceForUserChoosingTextToInsert() is called. That is the wrong delegate for this case and it causes confusion for the users. Also, some TOTP fields are recognised however, the key icon button is not presented above the keyboard next to TOTP suggestions. I've also tested 18.5 and it has the same issue. provideOneTimeCodeWithoutUserInteraction works just fine.

DCDevice.current.generateToken Is it safe to cache tokens for less than 1s ?
We have a crash on DCDevice.current.isSupported We want to try to make a serial queue to generate tokens but the side effect would be the same token would be used on multiple server API requests that are made within a few ms of each other? Is this safe or will the Apple server immediately reject the same token being reused? Can you share how long tokens are safe to use for? Background Unix executable not appearing in Screen Recording permissions UI (macOS Tahoe 26.1)
Our background monitoring application uses a Unix executable that requests Screen Recording permission via CGRequestScreenCaptureAccess(). This worked correctly in macOS Tahoe 26.0.1, but broke in 26.1. Issue: After calling CGRequestScreenCaptureAccess() in macOS Tahoe 26.1: System dialog appears and opens System Settings Our executable does NOT appear in the Screen Recording list Manually adding via "+" button grants permission internally, but the executable still doesn't show in the UI Users cannot verify or revoke permissions Background: Unix executable runs as a background process (not from Terminal) Uses Accessibility APIs to retrieve window titles Same issue occurs with Full Disk Access permissions Environment: macOS Tahoe 26.1 (worked in 26.0.1) Background process (not launched from Terminal) Questions: Is this a bug or intentional design change in 26.1? What's the recommended approach for background executables to properly register with TCC? Are there specific requirements (Info.plist, etc.) needed? DCError 2 "Failed to fetch App UUID" - App Attest not working in production or development
Hey everyone, I'm hitting a really frustrating issue with App Attest. My app was working perfectly with DCAppAttestService on October 12th, but starting October 13th it started failing with DCError Code 2 "Failed to fetch App UUID" at DCAppAttestController.m:153. The weird part is I didn't change any code - same implementation, same device, same everything. I've tried switching between development and production entitlement modes, re-registered my device in the Developer Portal, created fresh provisioning profiles with App Attest capability, and verified that my App ID has App Attest enabled. DCAppAttestService.isSupported returns true, so the device supports it. Has anyone else run into this? This is blocking my production launch and I'm not sure if it's something on my end or an Apple infrastructure issue.

How to Hide the "Save to Another Device" Option During Passkey Registration?
I'm working on integrating Passkey functionality into my iOS app (targeting iOS 16.0+), and I'm facing an issue where the system dialog still shows the "Save to another device" option during Passkey registration. I want to hide this option to force users to create Passkeys only on the current device. 1. My Current Registration Implementation Here’s the code I’m using to create a Passkey registration request. Yubikey Authentication iPad/iOS26
Hey all, Question for the masses.... Does the Yubikey authentication have a OS dependency and it only works with a stable, public OS? Does Azure/Okta/Yubikey beta OS26? My CEO installed iPadOS 26 on his iPad and was not able to authenticate via Yubikey into our company environment. I ran the same scenario on my iPad using iPadOS 26 and I had the same results. Downgrading to iPAdOS doesn't pose these issues. I'm assuming something isn't fine-tuned yet?

I’ve developed an authorization plug-in with a mechanism that runs an SFAuthorizationPluginView subclass and I’m facing a couple issues: - Glitch after successful login After setting kAuthorizationResultAllow in the context the user is successfully logged in and brought to the desktop but the login controls remain onscreen for a few seconds after login is complete, resulting in them being visible at the same time as the dock, menu bar and desktop.
 I’ve also tried what’s mentioned here https://aninterestingwebsite.com/forums/thread/780212 but without any luck. It’s also worth mentioning that the deinit() in my SFAuthorizationPluginView subclass never gets called when the plugin it’s loaded at the login stage but it does get called the plugin is used to re-authenticate the user after they locked their screen. - update() doesn't trigger the plugin to call view(for:) I’m trying to update the UI elements out of my control (like buttons and user avatar images) in order to have them placed at the proper position on the screen after a resize of my inner NSView. To do that I call update() but it appears that does not trigger the plugin to call view(for:) and update system UI elements placement. Is this the expected behavior? - setButton not working as expected 
I’m trying to disable the login button by calling the setButton(_:enabled:) passing a SFButtonTypeLogin as inButtonType, as suggested here: https://aninterestingwebsite.com/forums/thread/777432. When the method is called at the login screen it has no effect on the button (the one with the forward-arrow icon) but when it’s called by the plugin loaded at the ‘unlock screen’ stage it successfully disable the ‘OK’ button. - Certificate issue When trying to run a network request from the plugin loaded in the ‘unlock screen’ scenario, I always get this type of error: The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be <<server_url>> which could put your confidential information at risk Everything works as expected when the plugin is loaded either at login screen or for authorizing an operation that requires admin privileges while the user is logged in.

FIDO2 USB Monitoring using custom Authorization Plugin
I'm looking to implement USB monitoring for FIDO2 authentication through a custom Authorization Plugin, specifically for the below ones. This plugin applies to the following macOS authorization mechanisms: system.login.console — login window authentication system.login.screensaver — screensaver unlock authentication The goal is to build a GUI AuthPlugin, an authorization plugin that presents a custom window prompting the user to "Insert your FIDO key”. Additionally, the plugin should detect when the FIDO2 device is removed and respond accordingly. Additional Info: We have already developed a custom authorization plugin which is a primary authentication using OTP at login and Lock Screen. We are now extending to include FIDO2 support as a primary. Our custom authorization plugin is designed to replace the default loginwindow:login mechanism with a custom implementation. Question: Is there a reliable approach to achieve the USB monitoring functionality through a custom authorization plugin? Any guidance or pointers on this would be greatly appreciated.

Why can’t sandboxed mac app store apps have full disk access available in the system settings for full disk access? I discovered mac app store apps in release mode cannot access the ai auggie command line program and other command line programs like opengrep on your system. Debug builds fine. I came up with a workaround: Since I have an ssh client built in for connecting to remote servers, why not connect to ssh on the same local machine… Ask the user for their username and password in a popup. To do this, you have to enable remote login on your mac in system settings -> sharing. In addition you must grant full disk access to cli ssh in system settings: add /usr/libexec/sshd-keygen-wrapper It all works, but I don’t see the cli program in mac settings. To remove the cli program you must run a command line program to remove all full disk access support from all apps. No way to just undo ssh. So my question is, even though I got CodeFrog all working for a mac app store release, should I not do it because it’s insecure or too complicated with the system settings? Should I instead sell the app off the store like Panic Nova? Need some advice. I have not implemented in app purchases yet. Should I just have a reality check and sell the app off the store, or try for app store approval? Bummer… Maybe I’m ahead of my time, but perhaps Apple could review the source code for apps requesting full disk access and make sure there’s nothing fraudulent in them. Then, developer tools app store apps could be in the store with the user’s assurance that nothing is happening behind the scenes that is scary. Apple SignIn, issuer changed?
Hi! We're having issues with the sign in flow, starting today. As per the documentation, the issuer of the tokens should be https://appleid.apple.com sign in docs. But in the published configuration, it is now stated as https://account.apple.com metadata endpoint. Once the token is received through the sign in flow, the issuer is however still appleid.apple.com. This is causing problems for us where we expect the issuer in the metadata endpoint to be the same as the actual token issuer. What is correct here?

Entitlement values for the Enhanced Security and the Additional Runtime Platform Restrictions
I recently turned on the enhanced security options for my macOS app in Xcode 26.0.1 by adding the Enhanced Security capability in the Signing and Capabilities tab. Then, Xcode adds the following key-value sets (with some other key-values) to my app's entitlements file. <key>com.apple.security.hardened-process.enhanced-security-version</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>com.apple.security.hardened-process.platform-restrictions</key> <integer>2</integer> These values appear following the documentation about the enhanced security feature (Enabling enhanced security for your app) and the app works without any issues. However, when I submitted a new version to the Mac App Store, my submission was rejected, and I received the following message from the App Review team via the App Store Connect. Guideline 2.4.5(i) - Performance Your app incorrectly implements sandboxing, or it contains one or more entitlements with invalid values. Please review the included entitlements and sandboxing documentation and resolve this issue before resubmitting a new binary. Entitlement "com.apple.security.hardened-process.enhanced-security-version" value must be boolean and true. Entitlement "com.apple.security.hardened-process.platform-restrictions" value must be boolean and true. When I changed those values directly in the entitlements file based on this message, the app appears to still work. However, these settings are against the description in the documentation I mentioned above and against the settings Xcode inserted after changing the GUI setting view. So, my question is, which settings are actually correct to enable the Enhanced Security and the Additional Runtime Platform Restrictions?

The system is fully user-space and runs locally in real time. I’m planning to use the Endpoint Security Framework for process and file event monitoring. This is an open-source project (non-enterprise), developed by a solo developer. My question: What are the realistic chances of getting Endpoint Security entitlements approved for this type of project? Unable to Save Services ID Configuration — “PATCH Not Supported” Error
I’m trying to update the Domains and Redirects section for my Services ID configuration in Apple Developer (for Sign in with Apple). When I add new domains and click Save, nothing happens. In the browser console, I see a network request that fails with: PATCH not supported What I’ve tried so far: Logging out/in and refreshing the page Clearing browser cache and cookies Trying in Safari, Chrome, and incognito mode Verifying domain formatting (HTTPS, no trailing slash, domain is live) The issue persists in all browsers I’ve tested. Password AutoFill doesn't work - help needed
I have a project with a single app target that serves two environments, and two schemes, one for each env, using xcconfig files for defining environment-specific stuff. I'm trying to figure this out for months, so I've tried multiple approaches throughout this period: Have a single domain in "Associated domains" in Xcode, defined as webcredentials:X where X gets replaced using a value from xcconfig. Have two domain entries in "Associated domains" webcredentials:PROD_DOMAIN and webcredentials:STAGING_DOMAIN. Have a different order of domains Results are very interesting: whatever I do, whatever approach I take, password autofill works on staging, but doesn't work on production. I'm aware that we need to test production on Test Flight and AppStore builds. That's how we're testing it, and it's not working. Tested on multiple devices, on multiple networks (wifi + mobile data), in multiple countries.. you name it. The server side team has checked their implementation a dozen times; it's all configured properly, in the exact same way across environments (except bundle ID, ofc). We tried a couple websites for validating the apple-app-site-association file, and while all of those are focused on testing universal links, they all reported that the file is configured properly. Still, password autofill doesn't work. I prefer not to share my app's domains publicly here. Ideally I would contact Apple Developer Support directly, but they now require a test project for that, and since 'a test project' is not applicable to my issue, I'm posting here instead.

Emails Not Delivered to @privaterelay.appleid.com Addresses
Our app uses Sign in with Apple. In recent weeks (or months), we've noticed that emails sent to @privaterelay.appleid.com addresses are not being delivered. We're not receiving any bouncebacks or error messages from the mail server, but the emails never reach the user's mailbox. We've also checked spam folders, with no luck. We have verified that our Email Sources are configured correctly in Apple Developer settings. Is there any way to debug or trace what might be happening with these messages? Thanks in advance!

Share session from ASWebAuthenticationSession with WKWebView
Hello everyone, In my application, i have implemented authentication using ASWebauthenticationSession. However, when redirecting the user to a WKWebView, no cookies are shared, causing the session to be lost and requiring the user to log in again. Is there a way to share cookies between the two? If not, what would be the best approach to set up authentication that ensures SSO when switching to a WebView ? Thank you very much for your help !

Credential Provider Extension UI Appears Only on Second “Continue” Tap
I’m having an issue with my Credential Provider Extension for passkey registration. On the browser I click on registration, in IOS i can select my App for passkey registration with a continue button. Wenn I click the continue button the prepareInterface(forPasskeyRegistration:) function is called but the MainInterface is not shown —it only appears when I click the continue button a second time. Here’s a simplified version of my prepareInterface method: override func prepareInterface(forPasskeyRegistration registrationRequest: ASCredentialRequest) { guard let request = registrationRequest as? Accessing the key generated by DCAppAttestService
Hi, is it somehow possible to access a key that was generated by the DCAppAttestService generateKey() function? I need to be 100% sure that no actor from within or outside of my app can access the generated key with the DeviceCheck Framework. FIDO2 USB Monitoring using custom Authorization Plugin
I'm looking to implement USB monitoring for FIDO2 authentication through a custom Authorization Plugin, specifically for the below ones. This plugin applies to the following macOS authorization mechanisms: system.login.console — login window authentication system.login.screensaver — screensaver unlock authentication The goal is to build a GUI AuthPlugin, an authorization plugin that presents a custom window prompting the user to "Insert your FIDO key”. Additionally, the plugin should detect when the FIDO2 device is removed and respond accordingly. Additional Info: We have already developed a custom authorization plugin which is a primary authentication using OTP at login and Lock Screen. We are now extending to include FIDO2 support as a primary. Our custom authorization plugin is designed to replace the default loginwindow:login mechanism with a custom implementation. Question: Is there a reliable approach to achieve the USB monitoring functionality through a custom authorization plugin? Any guidance or pointers on this would be greatly appreciated.

Why can’t sandboxed mac app store apps have full disk access available in the system settings for full disk access? I discovered mac app store apps in release mode cannot access the ai auggie command line program and other command line programs like opengrep on your system. Debug builds fine. I came up with a workaround: Since I have an ssh client built in for connecting to remote servers, why not connect to ssh on the same local machine… Ask the user for their username and password in a popup. To do this, you have to enable remote login on your mac in system settings -> sharing. In addition you must grant full disk access to cli ssh in system settings: add /usr/libexec/sshd-keygen-wrapper It all works, but I don’t see the cli program in mac settings. To remove the cli program you must run a command line program to remove all full disk access support from all apps. No way to just undo ssh. So my question is, even though I got CodeFrog all working for a mac app store release, should I not do it because it’s insecure or too complicated with the system settings? Should I instead sell the app off the store like Panic Nova? Need some advice. I have not implemented in app purchases yet. Should I just have a reality check and sell the app off the store, or try for app store approval? Bummer… Maybe I’m ahead of my time, but perhaps Apple could review the source code for apps requesting full disk access and make sure there’s nothing fraudulent in them. Then, developer tools app store apps could be in the store with the user’s assurance that nothing is happening behind the scenes that is scary. Apple SignIn, issuer changed?
Hi! We're having issues with the sign in flow, starting today. As per the documentation, the issuer of the tokens should be https://appleid.apple.com sign in docs. But in the published configuration, it is now stated as https://account.apple.com metadata endpoint. Once the token is received through the sign in flow, the issuer is however still appleid.apple.com. This is causing problems for us where we expect the issuer in the metadata endpoint to be the same as the actual token issuer. What is correct here?

Entitlement values for the Enhanced Security and the Additional Runtime Platform Restrictions
I recently turned on the enhanced security options for my macOS app in Xcode 26.0.1 by adding the Enhanced Security capability in the Signing and Capabilities tab. Then, Xcode adds the following key-value sets (with some other key-values) to my app's entitlements file. <key>com.apple.security.hardened-process.enhanced-security-version</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>com.apple.security.hardened-process.platform-restrictions</key> <integer>2</integer> These values appear following the documentation about the enhanced security feature (Enabling enhanced security for your app) and the app works without any issues. However, when I submitted a new version to the Mac App Store, my submission was rejected, and I received the following message from the App Review team via the App Store Connect. Guideline 2.4.5(i) - Performance Your app incorrectly implements sandboxing, or it contains one or more entitlements with invalid values. Please review the included entitlements and sandboxing documentation and resolve this issue before resubmitting a new binary. Entitlement "com.apple.security.hardened-process.enhanced-security-version" value must be boolean and true. Entitlement "com.apple.security.hardened-process.platform-restrictions" value must be boolean and true. When I changed those values directly in the entitlements file based on this message, the app appears to still work. However, these settings are against the description in the documentation I mentioned above and against the settings Xcode inserted after changing the GUI setting view. So, my question is, which settings are actually correct to enable the Enhanced Security and the Additional Runtime Platform Restrictions?

Hi, I’m building a macOS tool that analyzes process behavior to detect autonomous / AI-like activity locally (process trees, file access patterns, and network usage). The system is fully user-space and runs locally in real time. I’m planning to use the Endpoint Security Framework for process and file event monitoring. This is an open-source project (non-enterprise), developed by a solo developer. My question: What are the realistic chances of getting Endpoint Security entitlements approved for this type of project? Unable to Save Services ID Configuration — “PATCH Not Supported” Error
I’m trying to update the Domains and Redirects section for my Services ID configuration in Apple Developer (for Sign in with Apple). When I add new domains and click Save, nothing happens. In the browser console, I see a network request that fails with: PATCH not supported What I’ve tried so far: Logging out/in and refreshing the page Clearing browser cache and cookies Trying in Safari, Chrome, and incognito mode Verifying domain formatting (HTTPS, no trailing slash, domain is live) The issue persists in all browsers I’ve tested. Password AutoFill doesn't work - help needed
I have a project with a single app target that serves two environments, and two schemes, one for each env, using xcconfig files for defining environment-specific stuff. I'm trying to figure this out for months, so I've tried multiple approaches throughout this period: Have a single domain in "Associated domains" in Xcode, defined as webcredentials:X where X gets replaced using a value from xcconfig. Have two domain entries in "Associated domains" webcredentials:PROD_DOMAIN and webcredentials:STAGING_DOMAIN. Have a different order of domains Results are very interesting: whatever I do, whatever approach I take, password autofill works on staging, but doesn't work on production. I'm aware that we need to test production on Test Flight and AppStore builds. That's how we're testing it, and it's not working. Tested on multiple devices, on multiple networks (wifi + mobile data), in multiple countries.. you name it. The server side team has checked their implementation a dozen times; it's all configured properly, in the exact same way across environments (except bundle ID, ofc). We tried a couple websites for validating the apple-app-site-association file, and while all of those are focused on testing universal links, they all reported that the file is configured properly. Still, password autofill doesn't work. I prefer not to share my app's domains publicly here. Ideally I would contact Apple Developer Support directly, but they now require a test project for that, and since 'a test project' is not applicable to my issue, I'm posting here instead.

Emails Not Delivered to @privaterelay.appleid.com Addresses
Our app uses Sign in with Apple. In recent weeks (or months), we've noticed that emails sent to @privaterelay.appleid.com addresses are not being delivered. We're not receiving any bouncebacks or error messages from the mail server, but the emails never reach the user's mailbox. We've also checked spam folders, with no luck. We have verified that our Email Sources are configured correctly in Apple Developer settings. Is there any way to debug or trace what might be happening with these messages? Thanks in advance!

Share session from ASWebAuthenticationSession with WKWebView
Hello everyone, In my application, i have implemented authentication using ASWebauthenticationSession. However, when redirecting the user to a WKWebView, no cookies are shared, causing the session to be lost and requiring the user to log in again. Is there a way to share cookies between the two? If not, what would be the best approach to set up authentication that ensures SSO when switching to a WebView ? Thank you very much for your help !

Credential Provider Extension UI Appears Only on Second “Continue” Tap
I’m having an issue with my Credential Provider Extension for passkey registration. On the browser I click on registration, in IOS i can select my App for passkey registration with a continue button. Wenn I click the continue button the prepareInterface(forPasskeyRegistration:) function is called but the MainInterface is not shown —it only appears when I click the continue button a second time. However, the UI only shows after a second “Continue” tap. Has anyone encountered this behavior or have suggestions on how to ensure the UI appears immediately after prepareInterface is called? Accessing the key generated by DCAppAttestService
Hi, is it somehow possible to access a key that was generated by the DCAppAttestService generateKey() function? I need to be 100% sure that no actor from within or outside of my app can access the generated key with the DeviceCheck Framework.
