Assets catalog .webp warrning
When I enter webp image to the assets catalog I get warrning: /Users/..../Assets.xcassets The image set "Card-Back" references a file "Card-Back.webp", but that file does not have a valid extension. It works, I see all my images perfect. How can I fix the 200+ warrnings?

Float8 and Float16 "Reserved_Name__Do_not_use"
I am developing a macOS terminal app, running on an M4 Pro, and using Metal. I am not able use float8 or float16, both reporting Variable has incomplete type 'float16' (aka '__Reserved_Name__Do_not_use_float16'). Based on the system I should be able to use these. Either it is because it is also compiling to Intel, which they are not allowed, or something else. Either way I have not been able to figure out how to get past this. IIs there a compiler setting I need to set to make this work? if so which one and what setting do I need? I only want to run this on M processes, on the latest version of OS so not interested in Intel version or backward compatibility.

VisionOS Spatial Accessory inputs help
The “explore spatial accessory input on visionOS” presentation from WDC25 interests me. I bought both the MUSE Logitech stylus and the PS VR2 sense controllers to try out with the sculpting app presented by the author, engineer Amanda Han. Unfortunately the app itself was not included. Could the app be made available for downloading as well as the Xcode project? I appreciate any assistance the author and your team could provide. Thank you.

Dear colleagues, when will you add the ability to manually adjust the display's color temperature? Everyone is familiar with the color rendering issue on the 17 series. Many complain about the display's yellowish tint. I'm one of those people, with a G9N panel, but I can't get whites right; there's a persistent yellow tint. TrueTone only solves this problem under cool, white lighting conditions. So, the display might work as intended, but how can I make it work consistently? If there were a way to manually adjust TrueTone, many users wouldn't be so upset when buying a new device, fearing the display would be yellow. I'd like users to be able to choose their preferred color, warm or cool, and have a scale to adjust it! This would solve the yellowish tint issue on 17 series displays! Thank you.

How to add and remove child entities to a rigged entity in RealityKit?
I am currently using RealityKit (perspective camera) to render a character in my swiftUI app. The character has customization such as clothing items and hair and all objects are properly weighted to the rig. The way the model is setup in Blender is like so: Groups of objects that will be swapped (ex: Shoes -> Shoes objects) and an armature. I then export it to usdc with all objects active. This is the resulting hierarchy: Before exporting for the animation (armature modifier applied), I simply had to store the Model entities and swap them in but now when I export with the Armature Modifier applied, so that animations get exported, the ModelComponent gets flattened to the armature and swapping entities and applying new materials to them is no longer as simple. ScreenCaptureKit recording output is corrupted when captureMicrophone is true
Hello everyone, I'm working on a screen recording app using ScreenCaptureKit and I've hit a strange issue. My app records the screen to an .mp4 file, and everything works perfectly until the .captureMicrophone is false In this case, I get a valid, playable .mp4 file. However, as soon as I try to enable the microphone by setting streamConfig.captureMicrophone = true, the recording seems to work, but the final .mp4 file is corrupted and cannot be played by QuickTime or any other player. This happens whether capturesAudio (app audio) is on or off. I've already added the "Privacy - Microphone Usage Description" (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription) to my Info.plist, so I don't think it's a permissions problem. I have my logic split into a ScreenRecorder class that manages state and a CaptureEngine that handles the SCStream. Showing 3D/AR content on multiple pages in iOS with RealityView
Hi. I'm trying to show 3D or AR content in multiple pages on an iOS app but I have found that if a RealityView is used earlier in a flow then future uses will never display the camera feed, even if those earlier uses do not use any spatial tracking. Unable to select a scene for preview in the SpriteKit actions editor
I am just starting to learn SpriteKit and I'm having trouble selecting a scene to preview an action in the actions editor. I created a new macOS Game project (Language: Swift, Game Technology: SpriteKit). When I open the generated 'Actions.sks' file, I see the message "No Preview Scene Selected" in the editor. I see the 'GameScene.sks' scene listed in the "Select..." control in the lower right, but it is greyed out. I'm not able to figure out how to select a scene to preview the action. I'm running Xcode 26.2 on macOS 15. Thanks very much for the help.

GKLocalPlayer.isUnderAge always returns true on mac with an intel chips
Hello, I'm working on a game that features online multiplayer. The game is developed using Unity and Apple Unity plugins. The "isUnderAge" property restricts the online multiplayer feature. Everything works as expected on all platforms (Mac, iPhone, iPad, AppleTV, and visionPro) except on Macs equipped with an Intel chip. Using the same iCloud and GameCenter, with no restrictions enabled, "isUnderAge" returns false, as expected, but on Mac equipped with an Intel chip, it returns true. Is there any restriction or compatibility issue with those chips? Is there a workaround? Thanks

Issue with Non-Consumable In-App Purchase in Unity (iOS Sandbox Environment)
Question: I'm encountering an issue with in-app purchases (IAP) in Unity, specifically for a non-consumable product in the iOS sandbox environment. Below are the details: Environment: Unity Version: 2022.3.55f1 Unity In-App Purchasing Version: v4.12.2 Device: iPhone (15, iOS 18.1.1) Connection: Wi-Fi iOS Settings: In-App Purchases set to “Allowed” initially Problem Behavior: I attempted to purchase a non-consumable item for the first time. The payment is successfully completed by entering the password. I then background the game app and navigate to the iOS Settings to set In-App Purchases to "Don't Allow." After returning to the game and either closing or killing the app, I try to purchase the same non-consumable item again. I checked canMakePayments() through the Apple configuration, and the app correctly detected that I could not make purchases due to the restriction. I then navigate back to Settings and set In-App Purchases to "Allow." Upon returning to the game, I try purchasing the non-consumable item again. A pop-up appears, saying, "You’ve already purchased this. Would you like to get it again for free?" The issue is: Will it deduct money for the second time, and why is the system allowing the user to purchase the same non-consumable item multiple times after purchasing it once? Is this the expected behavior for Unity In-App Purchasing, or is there something I might be missing in handling non-consumable purchases in this scenario? Additional Information: I’ve confirmed that the "In-App Purchases" are set to “Allowed” before attempting the purchase again. I understand that non-consumable products should not be purchased more than once, so I’m unsure why the system is offering to let the user purchase it again. I appreciate any insights into whether this is expected behavior or if I need to adjust how I handle the purchase flow.

Many CGECreateKeyboardEvent in quick succession causing function and dictation buttons to be pressed?
Hi! I hope everyone reading is doing well. I am working on developing a reinforcement learning agent that involves sending scan codes to a window, which I've been doing by sending virtual scan codes with CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent per the docs. There is no event source when I send the keyboard events. However, when many keyboard events are happening (with the keys 'q', 'w', 'e', 'r', 'f', 'd', 's', space, arrow keys) in quick succession (<250ms), the enable dictation popup or the function button emojis popup appear for seemingly no reason. I have verified that I am using the correct scan codes for these keypresses, so I am wondering what else could cause this to happen. It is as if I am choosing to press f5 or fn. It does not happen when 'a' is the only button being pressed in quick succession. One thing that I have not been able to easily find is the scan code inputs for dictation nor the function button. do these scan codes overlap somehow? Thank you all for the help! Hunter

ProjectiveTransformCameraComponent with custom matrix
I'm looking to create an effect on iOS that tracks the user's face position with ARKit and shifts nearer/more prominent geometry in the scene around while more "distant" geometry stays fixed to the XY plane - making it look like the geometry on screen "sticks out" I've managed to implement most of this successfully, but it's not perfect when using PerspectiveCameraComponent in RealityKit because as I shift the camera (and change its field of view based on the user's distance) the backplane changes its orientation (it's always orthogonal to camera's direction). I've tried adopting ProjectiveTransformCameraComponent instead. The idea is that the camera shifts around the scene, mirroring the user's head's position, looking at (0,0,0) and the back plane is adjusted to be parallel with the X,Y plane (animation replicated in Blender below). However, I can't manage to set up ProjectiveTransformCameraComponent with an appropriate matrix or update its transform property in a RealityKit System correctly. I also tried setting many simpler projection matrices as described in a number of guides on camera projection matrices on the internet and all I get is a blank view. Does anyone have some guidance on what the projection matrix that ProjectiveTransformCameraComponent expects is meant to look like or how I would go about accomplishing my goal?

Assets catalog .webp warrning
When I enter webp image to the assets catalog I get warrning: /Users/..../Assets.xcassets The image set "Card-Back" references a file "Card-Back.webp", but that file does not have a valid extension. It works, I see all my images perfect. How can I fix the 200+ warrnings?

Float8 and Float16 "Reserved_Name__Do_not_use"
I am developing a macOS terminal app, running on an M4 Pro, and using Metal. I am not able use float8 or float16, both reporting Variable has incomplete type 'float16' (aka '__Reserved_Name__Do_not_use_float16'). Based on the system I should be able to use these. Either it is because it is also compiling to Intel, which they are not allowed, or something else. Either way I have not been able to figure out how to get past this. IIs there a compiler setting I need to set to make this work? if so which one and what setting do I need? I only want to run this on M processes, on the latest version of OS so not interested in Intel version or backward compatibility.

VisionOS Spatial Accessory inputs help
The “explore spatial accessory input on visionOS” presentation from WDC25 interests me. I bought both the MUSE Logitech stylus and the PS VR2 sense controllers to try out with the sculpting app presented by the author, engineer Amanda Han. Unfortunately the app itself was not included. Dear colleagues, when will you add the ability to manually adjust the display's color temperature? Everyone is familiar with the color rendering issue on the 17 series. Many complain about the display's yellowish tint. I'm one of those people, with a G9N panel, but I can't get whites right; there's a persistent yellow tint. TrueTone only solves this problem under cool, white lighting conditions. So, the display might work as intended, but how can I make it work consistently? If there were a way to manually adjust TrueTone, many users wouldn't be so upset when buying a new device, fearing the display would be yellow. I'd like users to be able to choose their preferred color, warm or cool, and have a scale to adjust it! This would solve the yellowish tint issue on 17 series displays! Thank you.

How to add and remove child entities to a rigged entity in RealityKit?
I am currently using RealityKit (perspective camera) to render a character in my swiftUI app. The character has customization such as clothing items and hair and all objects are properly weighted to the rig. The way the model is setup in Blender is like so: Groups of objects that will be swapped (ex: Shoes -> Shoes objects) and an armature. I then export it to usdc with all objects active. This is the resulting hierarchy: Before exporting for the animation (armature modifier applied), I simply had to store the Model entities and swap them in but now when I export with the Armature Modifier applied, so that animations get exported, the ModelComponent gets flattened to the armature and swapping entities and applying new materials to them is no longer as simple. ScreenCaptureKit recording output is corrupted when captureMicrophone is true
Hello everyone, I'm working on a screen recording app using ScreenCaptureKit and I've hit a strange issue. My app records the screen to an .mp4 file, and everything works perfectly until the .captureMicrophone is false In this case, I get a valid, playable .mp4 file. However, as soon as I try to enable the microphone by setting streamConfig.captureMicrophone = true, the recording seems to work, but the final .mp4 file is corrupted and cannot be played by QuickTime or any other player. This happens whether capturesAudio (app audio) is on or off. I've already added the "Privacy - Microphone Usage Description" (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription) to my Info.plist, so I don't think it's a permissions problem. I have my logic split into a ScreenRecorder class that manages state and a CaptureEngine that handles the SCStream. Showing 3D/AR content on multiple pages in iOS with RealityView
Hi. I'm trying to show 3D or AR content in multiple pages on an iOS app but I have found that if a RealityView is used earlier in a flow then future uses will never display the camera feed, even if those earlier uses do not use any spatial tracking. Unable to select a scene for preview in the SpriteKit actions editor
I am just starting to learn SpriteKit and I'm having trouble selecting a scene to preview an action in the actions editor. I created a new macOS Game project (Language: Swift, Game Technology: SpriteKit). When I open the generated 'Actions.sks' file, I see the message "No Preview Scene Selected" in the editor. I see the 'GameScene.sks' scene listed in the "Select..." control in the lower right, but it is greyed out. I'm not able to figure out how to select a scene to preview the action. I'm running Xcode 26.2 on macOS 15. Thanks very much for the help.

GKLocalPlayer.isUnderAge always returns true on mac with an intel chips
Hello, I'm working on a game that features online multiplayer. The game is developed using Unity and Apple Unity plugins. The "isUnderAge" property restricts the online multiplayer feature. Everything works as expected on all platforms (Mac, iPhone, iPad, AppleTV, and visionPro) except on Macs equipped with an Intel chip. Using the same iCloud and GameCenter, with no restrictions enabled, "isUnderAge" returns false, as expected, but on Mac equipped with an Intel chip, it returns true. Is there any restriction or compatibility issue with those chips? Is there a workaround? Thanks

Question: I'm encountering an issue with in-app purchases (IAP) in Unity, specifically for a non-consumable product in the iOS sandbox environment. The payment is successfully completed by entering the password. I then background the game app and navigate to the iOS Settings to set In-App Purchases to "Don't Allow." After returning to the game and either closing or killing the app, I try to purchase the same non-consumable item again. I checked canMakePayments() through the Apple configuration, and the app correctly detected that I could not make purchases due to the restriction. I then navigate back to Settings and set In-App Purchases to "Allow." Upon returning to the game, I try purchasing the non-consumable item again. A pop-up appears, saying, "You’ve already purchased this. Would you like to get it again for free?" The issue is: Will it deduct money for the second time, and why is the system allowing the user to purchase the same non-consumable item multiple times after purchasing it once? Is this the expected behavior for Unity In-App Purchasing, or is there something I might be missing in handling non-consumable purchases in this scenario? Additional Information: I’ve confirmed that the "In-App Purchases" are set to “Allowed” before attempting the purchase again. I understand that non-consumable products should not be purchased more than once, so I’m unsure why the system is offering to let the user purchase it again. I appreciate any insights into whether this is expected behavior or if I need to adjust how I handle the purchase flow.

Many CGECreateKeyboardEvent in quick succession causing function and dictation buttons to be pressed?

I am working on developing a reinforcement learning agent that involves sending scan codes to a window, which I've been doing by sending virtual scan codes with CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent per the docs. There is no event source when I send the keyboard events. However, when many keyboard events are happening (with the keys 'q', 'w', 'e', 'r', 'f', 'd', 's', space, arrow keys) in quick succession (<250ms), the enable dictation popup or the function button emojis popup appear for seemingly no reason. I have verified that I am using the correct scan codes for these keypresses, so I am wondering what else could cause this to happen. It is as if I am choosing to press f5 or fn. It does not happen when 'a' is the only button being pressed in quick succession. One thing that I have not been able to easily find is the scan code inputs for dictation nor the function button. do these scan codes overlap somehow? Thank you all for the help! Hunter

ProjectiveTransformCameraComponent with custom matrix
I'm looking to create an effect on iOS that tracks the user's face position with ARKit and shifts nearer/more prominent geometry in the scene around while more "distant" geometry stays fixed to the XY plane - making it look like the geometry on screen "sticks out" I've managed to implement most of this successfully, but it's not perfect when using PerspectiveCameraComponent in RealityKit because as I shift the camera (and change its field of view based on the user's distance) the backplane changes its orientation (it's always orthogonal to camera's direction). I've tried adopting ProjectiveTransformCameraComponent instead. The idea is that the camera shifts around the scene, mirroring the user's head's position, looking at (0,0,0) and the back plane is adjusted to be parallel with the X,Y plane (animation replicated in Blender below). However, I can't manage to set up ProjectiveTransformCameraComponent with an appropriate matrix or update its transform property in a RealityKit System correctly. I also tried setting many simpler projection matrices as described in a number of guides on camera projection matrices on the internet and all I get is a blank view. Does anyone have some guidance on what the projection matrix that ProjectiveTransformCameraComponent expects is meant to look like or how I would go about accomplishing my goal?

Cinematic Camera API with ARKit / RealityKit
Hello Apple team, I'm working on an iOS AR app using SwiftUI and RealityKit, and I was wondering if the Cinematic API can be used with a RealityKit scene. I’d like to achieve a shallow depth of field while keeping the 3D asset in focus, and vice versa. Thanks!
