Hello all. I am currently developing a database app of particular products for people who collect this item. Let's say model airplanes. People can look at their list of model airplanes and also see a collection of airplanes by model companies. I want to offer a link from a product in my app to a local retailer's website who sells this product on their website. Not just their base site, but directly to the products page. Meaning each product in my database will have a unique link to an external product page. This could also include links to Ebay or Amazon if local retailer doesn't sell the product. Is this sort of feature allowed inside App Store Apps as technically it's not an in-app purchase? I do see some vague answers around but none that target this specific circumstance. I'm working on an iOS/iPadOS app and need to determine programmatically whether the device is a Shared iPad as configured through Apple School Manager (ASM). Shared iPads allow multiple users to sign in with Managed Apple IDs and are typically used in educational environments. I want to identify this configuration at runtime within my app. I’ve looked into UIDevice, NSProcessInfo, and MDM-related APIs but haven't found a reliable way to detect whether the current device is a Shared iPad. Is there an API or method to check if the current iPad is configured as a Shared iPad (via ASM)? Any guidance or code examples would be appreciated.

I'm running IOS 18.5 on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. If I delete an email on my iPhone, it is still in the inbox on my iMac. If I delete an email on my iMac it is deleted from the inbox on my iPhone. Is this because of the Beta software on my phone?

Through IOS 26 public beta 5, the “use as ringtone” option will freeze the Music app, which must be closed and restarted. Is this capability supposed to apply to songs in Apple Music or only for MP3 WMA music files in the files app? If it is only applicable to music files and not Apple Music, then it should not appear as an option in the share menu of an apple song. I have a 15 pro.

Is it possible to pay for a Apple Developer membership with a managed Apple ID as the account holder?

I have an Apple Watch Series 6 (Model: M00H3LL/A) that was working perfectly before I updated it to watchOS 26.0 beta on 21st August 2024. The update process completed smoothly while the watch was on the charger, but immediately after the update the display became extremely dim. It’s not completely black, but so faint that it’s very difficult to see. I’ve already tried setting the brightness to maximum and also enabled maximum brightness under Accessibility settings, but the issue remains. I also tried force restarting the watch (holding the Digital Crown and side button together), but that did not resolve the issue. I know this is not a hardware issue, since the problem appeared immediately after the update, and at times the display briefly returns to normal brightness for just a few milliseconds (like a flicker). My current watchOS version is 26.0 (23R5350a). Could you please advise on how I can fix this, or confirm if this is a known issue with the beta version? Thank you.

Hi everyone, After updating to iOS 26 Developer Preview on my iPhone, I’m experiencing a repeated issue with certain third-party apps. ⸻ -Issue details: • The apps open as if freshly installed, showing the onboarding or login screen each time • User session is completely lost (no saved login or data) • Around 10 seconds after launch, the app automatically closes • It disappears from the app switcher (not just backgrounded) • This happens every time, with no crash message or error shown ⸻ -What I’ve tried: • Reinstalled the apps • Restarted the device • Toggled Face ID, Background App Refresh, etc. • Confirmed I’m running the latest iOS 26 Developer Preview build ➡️ Problem still occurs exactly the same way ⸻ -Feedback status: I submitted a report via Feedback Assistant with a screen recording and full reproduction steps. Since adding the ios26 beta, I can no longer connect to iMessage using my phone number. It connects using email addresses but, when trying to connect to my phone number, it just gives me the buffering signal and never connects. I am on Beta 4 and still no joy. Help! I have become a green bubbler!!

I was trying to watch hulu while on facetime and saw theres no way to change the screenshare/shareplay automatically like you can set it to on the other ios and not automatically shareplay hulu on ios 26 beta unless i just didnt see it.

Installed update on Monday night and since then keep losing Network connection despite resettting Network connections and iphone. Comes back for a short time after rsetting then is lost with nothing showing under Mobile Service.

After too many boot loops and inability to boot up at all from system data bloating, I decided to restore the iPhone 16 Pro Max I’m beta testing on back to iOS 18.4 for a third time. Unfortunately, I found the iOS 26 beta 2 had made a iCloud backup last night, replacing my 18.4 backup. Is this something betas are supposed to do? I’ve been beta testing for around a decade now, I’ve never seen a iOS beta make an iCloud backup. Is anyone else noticing excessive system data bloating (70-100 GB or more)? Regardless, I’m in it for the long game now 😂

We are currently facing an issue with implementing "Sign in with Apple" in our iOS application built using Flutter. We've implemented "Sign in with Apple" using Firebase and On attempting to sign in, we are encountering the following error: “Sign-up not completed.” We have verified that: The Apple Sign is enabled on our Firebase Project. The Sign in with Apple capability is enabled in the Xcode project. The Apple Sign-In capability is enabled for the App ID on our Apple Developer account. All the certificates were re-provisioned after enabling the capability. The Bundle ID matches across Apple Developer portal and our app configuration. The email and fullName scopes are requested in the credential. Please let us know if you require any additional information. We’re happy to provide whatever is needed. Apple Scan to PDF / Files – Scan 24 images, merge, delete originals → System Data increases 2–3× file size. 4. External drives (NTFS/exFAT) – Just plugging in causes spikes. 5. An error occurred while checking for a software update after the iOS 26 update. Is anyone else facing a similar issue?

Currently running 15.5 Beta 3 on a Mac Studio M4. I am unable to read/write to my Home folder from most of my applications. I receive an error basically saying I do not have access rights to the file/folder. If I go to the file directly and open it, it works. I have repaired disk permissions, checked the Sharing & Permissions settings via Get Info, and finally called Apple. Of course, since I am running the beta, the support was quite limited. I will add that I am also unable to open .dmgs that have been downloaded to my Downloads folder. I receive the "The disk image couldn’t be opened. The operation couldn’t be completed. Operation not permitted" error. If I copy the .dmg to another drive, I can open it from there.

Hi, EtreCheck I could really use some help with this, as I haven’t been able to find much concrete info. I mistakenly updated my MacBook to the 15.5 beta, and while I can’t say with 100% certainty that the issues started immediately after, I’ve been experiencing consistent kernel panics every time the machine wakes from sleep — it restarts completely and throws an error. I’m really hoping this isn’t a hardware issue. The MacBook is just over two years old, and I rely on it daily for work — replacing it right now isn’t an option. Unfortunately, I don’t have a Time Machine backup to roll back to. I’ve already wiped the machine and reinstalled macOS via recovery mode, and Apple Diagnostics isn’t showing any hardware problems. Just to rule it out: I’m not using any external devices — no docks, Thunderbolt accessories, or anything else plugged in. I came across EtreCheck as a recommended tool, and I’ve included the results below. If anyone is able to help interpret them or point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it.
